You can't go wrong with this location if you want a small to midsize boutique hotel. There are a lot of dumps on the island and some other large resorts. This is just right. Great location on the beach and close to everything downtown. No tv but great balcony with hammock. Wonderful restaurant on location. One negative is that there...

We just got back home from a wonderful stay at Hotel La Palapa in Isla Holbox. Located just off the main town square, this hotel is in a great location right on the beach with a restaurant/bar and lawn chairs provided for guests. The room was clean and simple with an authentic decor, including a hammock right near the window...

We arrived at La Palapa in Holbox as the first part of our journey through the Yucatan. The place has a private beach with sun beds and has a nice relaxed vibe, and so does the whole island. It's quiet and laid back, the beach is clean (cleaner than many other streches) and the guys in the beach bar are...

The rooms are plain but clean, not much storage for clothes had to keep everything in suitcases. Grounds, location and staff makeup for any short falls on storage. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back. Enjoyed having the restaurant onsite and found them very helpful and great to have breakfast right on the beach.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Don't get a room on the street. There is a family bar and restaurant and they party until 4 am. They are obnoxious and noisy. We asked them to quiet down and to no avail. I feel the hotel should do more. They moved us and the rest of the stay was nice. Good...

Great place, but unfortunately short of bliss. Although the hotel itself does pretty much everything right, it falls victim to island development. Surrounding noise makes it impossible to sleep with windows open, which is a shame because the soothing ocean waves are literally steps away. On a few occasions, earplugs were even required to sleep. The culprits are nearby bars...

This was my first stay on Holbox and wanted to share some thoughts about the hotel for other potential travelers. Beach: This is where the hotel shines in my opinion. I think this hotel has the best beachfront area on the island. There were always plenty of chairs. The way the island is situated you don't get a lot of...

This is the second time we've stayed at Hotel La Palapa this year. Once again, everything was sheer perfection – from check-in to check-out. The rooms (our faves are the Top Floor rooms – no balcony, but you don't need one because the windows open up from left to right so your entire room becomes a balcony) have broad, expansive...

Our first stay in our 3-week trip across Yucatan - a perfect place to settle after a long trip to relax. A beautiful setting, right on the beach. We had a great room, bright and very clean, with an en-suite bathroom. The beach of the hotel is small and intimate, with palm trees that provide shade and prevent the feeling...

This little hotel, 25 rooms, is ON THE BEACH. No walking. It is ON THE BEACH. Wonderful staff, the reception staff must speak English and they are so good. Monika, Dante, Anna, are so good. The restaurant staff don't speak English as well. But are very good. Alonzo , Andrea, Kenny are very good. Breakfast , lunch and early dinner...
