This historic home was built in 1915 by local merchant Parmenus Orr and retains much of the original ambiance through thoughtful renovations, hardwood floors and period furnishings. Many of the family's original furnishings, antiques, photographs and oil paintings, painted by Orr family descendants, hang proudly on our walls. A large veranda on the front of the house is available for "old fashion" relaxing. Each of our rooms, aptly named after the 5 children of Parmenus Orr and his wife Stanford, have a private ensuite. Wifi, cable tv, free parking and breakfast are all included in the price of the room.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This historic inn has been lovingly restored by warm and welcoming owners Angie and Greg. They have thought of every detail ensuring guests have a relaxing and comfortable stay. We stayed in Anna's Room (the honeymoon suite) for our 39th anniversary and it was just perfect - from the cozy bathrobes with the roses tucked in, to the sunken heart shaped tub for two as well as spacious and clean shower, to the oversized bed, to the coordinating white, plum and gray decore with crytal accents, to the cookies, coffee, tea, wine glasses and mini fridge conveniently found in the room, to the privacy of the room location. The inn is an easy walk to town and just a 15 minute drive to the beach. But to top it all off - the breakfast is out of this world and the service from staff person Todd was excellent! Simply the best pancakes you will ever find. The omlette was incredible. HUGE portions of everything. Fortunately the breakfast is also available for drop in customers on Sundays from 8am - 1pm. We will definitely drop in whenever we are in the area!

Beautiful bed and breakfast quite close to our friends who live in Park Corner. Greg has done a fabulous job creating the antique feel of this century plus old home. Common areas are gorgeous and we really enjoyed our stay in John Wilfred’s room - beautiful nautical details at every turn. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and a joyful experience in the cheery dining room. We would definitely stay here again - thank you Greg for our glorious late summer stay!

The Home Place Inn is amazing. Greg and his wife are so accommodating and their hospitality is second to none. Our room was very large with a king size bed and a couch and chairs with en-suite bathroom. The bed was amazing and the sheets were so soft I didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning. The breakfast is all homemade and gloriously good. You have your choices of different breakfasts on the menu. This is not a continental breakfast it’s sooo much more. They gave us local information, directions, restaurant choices, and more. They told us about the history of the home and surrounding areas. We will definitely be back and stay even longer.

We called late and got a room at this bed and breakfast. Angie and Greg warmly welcomed us and our 2 year old. The place is very nice and cozy. The room was spacious and very comfortable. There are lots of nice little touches like a room fridge, coffee, etc. Breakfast was a large portion and delicious. Everyone was so friendly.

I had a one night impromptu stay during a cycling trip in PEI and found this gem! Service is cheery and to a high standard and the place has been beautifully restored. Owners are committed to continuing these works and provide a wonderful breakfast with terrific options. It's the kind of place that makes you want to pause your trio and stay for a few days. I'll be staying here again!!

We stayed only for one night, passing through. Greg was very accommodating as we came later than expected. The place was beautiful and antique like. We did not have breakfast because we planned to get up later than breakfast was to be served but the experience was lovely. Would stay again if in the area!

We stayed one night while exploring the surrounding area. Perfect location. Beautiful historic house. We had the honeymoon suite ( married 35 years!) very private with ensuite and beautifully furnished.
Breakfast beat anything we could have found nearby. We were able to spend some time with host Greg at his bar for a nightcap, what a great guy! Highly recommend!

The was a hidden charm. Greg was an excellent host who went out of his way to make our stay perfect. The accommodations were stellar and the breakfast was perfect!!! Thank you, Greg! And, of course, Sam - this beautiful big lug of a dog who made my heart melt.

We are so fortunate that Greg and Angie shared their Home Place with us. We stayed 5 nights and Angie gave us a big room with a balconny. The breakfasts were amazing, generous portions and delicious. Great advise for things to do and places to go. Everyone is helpful and very friendly.
