I had the pleasure of staying at the Rumboat Retreat with a group of friends in February. It's location on the west coast in the fishing town of Gouyavre makes it ideal for those who want to explore the issland and experience real Grenada. It overlooks the ocean and is set in luscious tropical grounds. Lisette, the owner, was accommodating...

Rumboat Retreat is a remote place in a beautiful surrounding; ideal to visit the North of Grenada (e.g Fish Friday in Gouyave or Sunset Food Festival in Victoria). Lyzette is a charming host. We enjoyed our stay and would come back anytime.

I was lucky to spend the first week of February at the Rumboat Retreat, a charming clean and beautifully located hotel on the west coast of the island. It is owned and run by the extremely friendly and knowledgeable host Lisette, who not only creates dishes using local produce but arranged an amazing collection of day trips to locations well...

This hotel is a great base to explore the northern parts of Grenada. There are 4 rooms here (two with direct access to the porch and a view and the other two are in the back facing the mountain). The porch is very comfortable and great place to wind down. Lisette is friendly and accommodating. There is a communal kitchen...

Thank you Bryson Seattle for your review. Being a developing country, Grenada doesn't actually have a hot water system it is considered a luxury our island coannot afford. Therefore all hot water systems are independent. We have chosen SOLAR HEATERS TO HEAT OUR HOT WATER (which is outlined in our welcome book) Rumboat retreat has a commitment with Green globe...

Quiet and peaceful, access over a rough track. But worth it for the wonderful food.friendly and congienal hostess. Midway between north and south of the island, so easy to find, if you want a quiet break away from the tourists, but in comfort, this is the place. Best with a car

We spent four nights at the Rumboat and wished we could have stayed on. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are very well fitted out, and the service impeccable. It is a welcome get-away from the beach-side resorts south of Georgetown, and an excellent base from which to explore the island. The food was lovely, each meal taken on the...

A fantastic retreat, away from everything. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are very clean and very nice. The sunset view is amazing. Only thing to be aware of is the price of the dinner (very nice but very overpriced eg dinner for two comprising two dishes and one dessert two beers for US$71). Please book the room that...
