The owners were really friendly and helpful despite our lousy Spanish. When we arrived they gave us a refreshing drink and lots of local information. Great breakfasts with fruit, juices, bread, omelette and toasted sandwiches. The location is really handy, running parallel to the main street but still quiet. Nice porch to sit and watch the world go by. Rooms...

This place was fantastic. We were traveling around Cuba, and this was one of the best places we stayed at. Breakfast was fantastic, and dinner was so good the first night we ordered it, we decided to eat here again on the second night. The location is good - just around the corner from a street market, and the main...

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Niulvys and Papo made us feel so at home. The room had everything you would expect from a casa, including the much-longed-for mosquito screens that were lacking in the other places we stayed. The beds are ample, the shower was great, and the outdoor space was lovely – the tropical...

We only had one night to spend here and it was perfect. It was very close to the centre but far enough away from the main street to feel quiet and secluded. The amenities were good: two spacious double beds, an ensuite shower room, a fully stocked fridge and blissful aircon. We already had a previous booking for an evening...

A really wonderful three days spent here, you feel part of the family and they are incredible welcoming, and go to all efforts. The house dog was a real treat and we were able to walk it around the area. We ate at the Casa 2 evening, first evening was based on recommendations from others but the second was because...

Magnificent breakfasts - dinner was better than the highly recommended restaurants. Room had a fridge, full set of toiletries and even a UK adaptor. Linen was changed on day 3. Pleasant to relax on the verandah and watch the horse drawn rush hour. Really lovely family. Very convenient for the centre. Would not hesitate to return here.

Papo y Niulvys were wonderful hosts. They supported us during our stay and enabled us to see the wonderful sights in Venales. We had breakfast and lunch at the accommodation. They tried very hard to feed us well. The home was clean and cosy and we had an ensuite bathroom. They organised our horse riding morning and Papo took us...

We really enjoyed our stay here, after our disappointing experience in Havana. Niulvys was especially welcoming and helpful - a real character. We loved her! We had a front room which was very comfortable with a nice en-suite. The breakfasts were just great. The only slight downside was the occasional noisy truck passing by at the end of the garden,...
