We stayed at Highgate for a couple of nights B&B and had a really enjoyable time. The owners were very friendly - nothing was too much trouble and we were made very welcome. Breakfast was freshly made and very tasty. Veggies are also well catered for too. The local pub is just over a mile away over the hill (remember...

We stayed at Highgate recently after having spent a wet and windy day in the Elan Valley. Our soaking clothes were taken away for drying whilst we showered and got warm in the huge and comfortable bedroom. Off to the Bull and Heifer for a good evening meal with plenty of real ale. Slept like a log in the lovely...

We have just returned from a relaxing break at the Highgate B&B. The setting is beautiful with vally's and sheep, with lots of walks on the door step. The B&B is warm and welcoming. I don't usually sleep well out of my own bed but at the Highgate the beds are wonderfully comfortable. The room was large with lots of...

A good nights sleeps is such a bonus when you are away from home, so we are extremely pleased that you found your bed here at Highgate very comfortable and that you also enjoyed your Welsh eggs, sausages and bacon. Do please come again.

If you want modern and minimalist this is not for you! If you want 'olde worlde' charm and character with picturesque scenery then this is perfect. The house is all old beams and antiques with character galore. Our super king size room was very spacious; bed was comfortable; en suite shower room was big enough. Breakfasts were excellent and porridge...

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend break at highgate farm. We was amazed by the history of this jacobean farmhouse. It's so hard in this day and age to retain historical correctness and modern needs but highgate farm blends these two together superbly. The warm welcome from hostess Sarah, the choice of spacious rooms made for a fantastic...

Thank you for taking the time to review, we are pleased that you appreciated the history associated with Highgate, the house was built in 1631 and of course over the nearly 400 year period has been repaired and updated through out, and latterly by ourselves. It was a very generous comment to make that you thought we had done it...

When we were unable to get to Wales due to heavy snow, Sarah was very understanding and we had no problem in postponing our booking to the following week. She even called us on the day we left home with a weather update! Although Highgate is advertised on the FarmStay website, it is no longer a working farm, although there...

Thank you very much to taking time to write your review, greatly appreciated. We do try to be as accommodating as possible and the weather has played quite a disruptive influence on our recent bookings. We do have sheep as well as horses and ponies and in the spring the lambs are very close to the house and enjoyed by...

We stayed here having received an "experience" voucher as a gift. Since receiving the voucher, our circumstances had changed and we were now new parents to six month old twin babies. Other venues we had contacted had been either reluctant or point blank refused to accommodate us as a family, stating that as voucher holders, we were not profitable enough...

Just back from a 2 day stay at Highgate where we held our annual staff gathering. What a find! Highgate Farm is just superb, the accommodation is beautiful, converted barns finished to a really high standard, modern, cosy and stylish. Set in a stunning rural location with immaculate grounds. The service offered by our hosts was equally warm and excellent...

My sister gave me a weekend break voucher for my birthday and found this hotel on the website, from the first conversation on the phone to the actual first meeting the owner was welcoming and nothing was to much trouble.
