We stopped off on a walking trip. The food which was 3 hot sandwiches and 3 soft drinks cost £30. Expensive for what it was but nice enough the hot chocolate I had was nice enough and they were friendly smiled accepted 4 muddy people no problem.

The service was very friendly. We ordered the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding the food itself was tasty and freshly cooked however when the dinner came it was swimming in very thin gravy in fact it drowned the meal and the cauliflower cheese was afloat and all the cheese was curdling in the gravy which totally spoils the meal the...

We stayed here recently whilst attending a wedding. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready but they kindly let us use the room anyway to get changed. We couldnt fault the staff's kindness and hospitality and our room was spotlessly clean on our return from the wedding. The abbey clock chimed a lot during the night but it added...

We stayed here, two couples, prior to a boat trip on the Thames. Arriving early for check in we decided on lunch here before exploring the village, and what a good decision that was! We all had the Sunday roast which was the best I've ever had in a restaurant, normally preferring home cooked. The rooms are good, uneven floors,...

Stayed here for one night and found it lovely- very friendly staff made us feel welcome immediately! The rooms were clean and characterful and the food was delicious, especially the cheesy pie. Can't wait to return someday!

Although we only stay here for a night, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were really friendly, and the food was incredible, especially the starters! Also the rooms were so nice, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need!

Nice pub, good beer, pleasant beer garden, BUT... The pub was recommended as the best for food in the village so we were looking forward to Sunday dinner here. Sadly I asked for a menu at 7:02 and they stopped taking orders at 7. Not a lot of flexibility then, but full marks for punctuality! We ended up eating along...
