Me, my Fiancé & our dog (Staffie) have just got home today from a great weekend here at herding hill farm. We stayed in a running water wig wam with hot tub (sycamores gap) & we could not complain. The facilities are very good & the shower block is immaculate. The campsite is in great location for walks along Hadrian's...

We stayed one night with a small camper van. The campsite is fairly isolated but there is a pub down the road and Haltwhistle with plenty of amenities and shopping for food etc is not that far off. The other advantage is you are very near the excellent Roman Army Museum and Vindolanda. The facilities were great - very clean,...

First time glamping with family. Had running water wigwam - couldn't fault it. Really warm & cosy, clean with good facilities, well positioned, good open grassy area in between rows of wigwams where all kids played together - good spot for kite flying. Shower block / communal facilities immaculate. Family friendly site. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Perfect place to...

We spent the weekend in one of the bell tents which whilst having only four beds they are happy for an extra child to stay and there is plenty of room. These are great tents but from some reason they bought the cheapest cool boxes going which really lets them down. The toilet/shower block has not been expanded to keep...

Things didn't start off well when we arrived at 2.30pm (website said check-in from 2-8pm) to find a note on the door saying check in from 3pm so had to hang around for half an hour. We had booked the ensuite wigwam with a hot tub through Wigwam Holidays and the owner went through the safety instructions for using hot...

I am a camping novice. This was only my second trip in the last couple of years. Fantastic site, great for walking on Hadrian's Wall, the pizza on arrival on the Friday night was scrummy as was the local beer from the shop. Toilet and shower block warm and super clean. Great pub (Milestone Inn) down the road. On a...

We have just came back from a three night break , we stayed in a lotus belle tent which had a double bed , lots of floor space , kettle, toaster, little heater ( which was needed as did get chilly at night). The staff were lovely and friendly especially the site wardens who go out of their way to...

We stayed for 1 night in a tipi here. It is such a lovely site with very clean toilets and showers, there is also a hairdryer provided in the ladies. The site is clean and well maintained as was our tipi, we paid the extra £5 to have the electricity and had to leave a £20 deposit for the cable....

Stayed at Herding Hill Farm for 2 nights in August 2016, with my husband and our dog for our 5th wedding anniversary. The reason we chose Herding Hill Farm was that we had been specifically looking to stop in a wigwam/camping pod that we were allowed our dog in, too. We booked a running water wigwam. We loved the fact...
