We stayed here in late October as a stopover on our way to Bilbao. Great choice. Good room with fabulous views over old square on one side and the river estuary the other.Hotel is superbly situated with easy access to old town and some really outstandingly good restaurants

The hotel is located in an old Bishop's palace and is nestled in the walls of the old city. It's just a short walk to all the sights in the walled city, and the more modern city where most of the shops, bars and restaurants are. Our room was on the top floor so the ceiling was a bit low...

The hotel sits within the old city walls: the building is wonderfully individual in character and this is complimented by the very helpful, personable, staff. You can walk to everywhere that matters from the hotel, both in the old town and also the adjacent more modern town with its seafront, restaurants, and other attractions.

Well located inside the walls of the old city and within walking distance to all attractions, bus stop, little ferry to France and free public car parking and some good restaurants. Our large room on the ground floor was quiet and comfortable, the breakfast was good and the front desk staff were very helpful with information. I am glad we...

The building is fantastic as is the setting in the old part of the town. Our room was in the roof with only a sky-light which was ok but not great. As other reviewers have mentioned the lack of a restaurant is a down side. Nevertheless it is a good place from which to explore the old town

We found this place after the Parador botched our reservation and were rewarded with a pleasant three-day stay in a deluxe room with a balcony literally on the ramparts of the old town. It was nice to have a picnic up there, overlooking the river to France on one side and the old square with its cafes and view of...

Great location in historic building in the walled city. Convenient to other parts of town. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room itself was amazing. The "balcony" was in the old turret with spectacular views of the river and bay beyond.

Fabulous hotel. The only downside was no restaurant for lunch or evening meal. Just a cafeteria. Although very tasteful. Plenty of places to eat in the square however. First stop on a Spanish tour of the Pyrenees. The paradores are brilliant.

A bit difficult to find using sat nav due to its location in the old town and restricted access but once we found it oh my what a gem. Along the same lines as the Spanish paradores. Great location with amazing views across river to France and within walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Would definitely return.

Room on third floor was quiet and roomy, very comfortable but as others mentioned, it was a little dark inside due to the building's architecture (which we loved). Bathroom was very nice, modern conveniences. Located at top of a narrow street, there is limited parking at the hotel but plenty just a 2-minute walk away. Food in the restaurant was...
