Two nights to break the journey from Granada to Lisbon. Very conveniently located quite close to the main road past Aracena. Very restful. Warm chalet. A large comfortable lounge in the lobby with open fire was a good place to sit, read and surf the internet. Coffee whenever wanted. Half board included an evening meal at the independently owned restaurant...

Stayed in One of the apartments in April 2013 as wanted more freedom and privacy than a hotel room. The apartment was lovely and warm. It had central heating and also a log fire, one evening it was only 5 degrees outside however it was lovely warm and cosy inside without using the log fire. The apartment was also very...

Aracena itself is a beautiful sierra town, and if you like the Spanish way of life you could spend a holiday without even sampling the glorious countryside round about. Finca Valbono is half a mile out of town, on a wooded hillside and with a splendid and spacious swimming pool. We were late arrivals and we went into town for...

Rural hotel with both rooms in the main building and chalets in the grounds. The grounds are shady woodland containing tennis courts, a large swimming pool and donkey. We choose a chalet and although it was set up for self catering, we had breakfast and dinner in the hotel. The chalet was clean and consisted a raised bedroom area, small...

The food is some of the best in the area and they are keen to maintain a good reputation for quality of food and accomodation I met Javier the director and was shown the rooms, and...

We stayed 3 days in this wonderful place close to Aracena. The pool is brand new, big and clean with a very relaxing atmosphere. The old trees, the hills and the clean sierra air makes the surroundings very nice. The farm house is cosy with large space for 4 people, 2 bedrooms and a dining room/ kitchen. We had a splendid...

Very pleasant, beautiful hotel in an old mansion in the middle of a natural paradise, Sierra de Aracena, very close to the beautiful town of Aracena. The price is very reasonable. The only critics I can do: - rooms are not very well sound insulated and you can easily hear noises from corridor or rooms nearby. - cigarette smoking is...

We thought the apartments were very good - well furnished and peaceful and you did have the option to do your own breakfast . To us North Europeans the start time of 9.00 for dinner is always a bit of a shock but hey this is Spain and this is an unspoilt piece of Spain. We would go again .

My husband and I stayed for our four-year wedding anniversary. Finca Valbono was fairly easy to find and is located about a mile outside the center of the city of Aracena. There is a narrow road leading up to the hotel/restaurant after entering the front gate. The road should be one way but is used for both coming and going,...

We stayed at the Finca Valbono for our first wedding anniversary, and also to escape the summer heat of Seville. It's a working farm with goats and horses - loved the tinkling goatbells as they climbed the hill opposite the hotel. We chose an apartment, was was housed in a small double-level building with kitchen - fridge, double hob, sink,...
