Post relates to Hotels Poiana and Bradul, part of the ANA chain of Hotels.Stayed in both hotels from 9/2/13 until 20/2/13. Initially we were accommodated in the Hotel Poiana which had large modern rooms. Down side to this hotel was having to trek over to the Hotel Sport every morning for breakfast. Obviously a cost cutting exercise. Hotel is in...

We spent one night in the hotel. The hotel is a true ski resort. It is located in the heart of the slops. near by there was a beginner’s slop , which was good for us . the hotel is also near (with in a walkable distance ) cafés and a bunch of restaurants… The rooms were standard, ours was...

Poiana Brasov is the best kept secret in the world for skiing! The ANA Hotel Poiana is situated beside a nursery slope and from there the cable car takes you to the top of the mountain. Rooms are quite large and recently had a make over. Staff are friendly and took care of all our needs. On a down side,...

Before restoring, it was a bad expensive hotel with just an advantage: close to the ski slopes. After restoring, a little nicer, but terrible lighting, wery weak bulbs in the br and rest areas, almost dangerous. The owner chose the cheapest fixtures with the smallest possible bulbs: maximum energy saving. Small dark rooms.

Stayed here for 3 nights in September as part of a package with a well known UK operator catering for the over 50's. On arrival the place was empty and cold, devoid of any semblance of warm welcome. The rooms allocated all looked out over very large Fir trees which are no more than twenty feet from the rooms and...

This is my first time in Romania and one of my only stays in a 3 star hotel, usually I stay in more expensive hotels, but this time the hotel was picked by the package tour operator. I stayed for 6 nights on a half board plan. Poiana Brasov is a one street strip with more than 10 hotels, in...

I totally agree with one of the previous reviews depicting a negative experience in the Hotel. I have been there for a 5-day training and was not able to attend the training at all and even left before it ended. I got a soar throat after the first night and then got colder and colder. The management refused to provide...

We booked a room with a balcony and a "mountain view" several weeks before arriving in Poiana Brasov. On arrival we were given a room with no balcony and, well, an extreme close up mountain view - the window was a few feet away from a slope covered with pine trees. We were told there were no better rooms available;...

I have stayed 6 nights and many times there was no running water (cold or warm) or heat. They explained us that the twin hotel "Sportul" is under renovation but this is no excuse. They should close both hotels. During the week there were few customers so getting breakfast was quite an experience because we had to chase waitresses through...
