Our family was spending the very interesting holiday in Castello di Tornano in Toscana (Italy). This is the old castel with the tower in 5 km from Gaiole-in-Kjanti. It's a very convenient place for the sightseeing - there are a lot of beautiful castels in surroundings and unforgettable nature. Castello di Tornano has some rooms in a main tower, and...

We stayed in the Lucretia Borgia room in the main tower that was on the third floor. It is a romantic room with views from the windows. The bed was very firm, but we liked it this way and slept very soundly. The main building is full of rooms done up in period decorations and makes you feel like you...

We spent the first week of July 2010 at Castello di Tornano , using it as a base for day trips to Florence, Sienna, Cortona, Montepulcianao, and other towns. The apartment in the farmhouse was roomy and very pretty and the bed was comfortable ( we're picky about this.) The hilltop view from the hotel of vineyards, olive orchards, and...

The location was gorgeous and very convienient for visiting multiple vineyards. It was also a very close drive to both Florence and Siena. The wine tasting was great and the olive oil is some of the best I have ever had. We stayed three nights in one of the apartments called Spiga. The apartment was comfortable enough, however it was...

We came to this place with great expectations with plans to stay 5 nights. Unfortunately, the weather was not good and the room we were staying in was cold and dark and made for an unpleasant stay. After the first night, we asked if the heating could be rectified but it was still cold the second night we spent there....

The Catello di Tornano was a pleasant surprise. We had booked a 3 night cooking experience online and all went splendid. We were picked up by a private taxi in Florence and driven to this small castle on a hill. We were welcomed by the owner and Manuel the cook. The room was in the castle and not the tower....

The genuine care and flexibility of all the team members of Castello di Tornano under the professional guidance and leadership of Massimo and Maura was one of the highlights of our stay. Nothing was asking too much and everyone was very much focused on making our stay very comfortable. Chef Manuel is passionate about his food and cooks fresh, easy...

We stayed at Castle di Tornano for 15 days in the height of the season. Everyday was perfect sunshine, beautiful views of Tuscany and each day more relaxing then the prior. The property consists of renovated rooms in the castle proper and efficiency apartmetns of various sizes of a more rustic nature (we stayed in both and found the castle...

We just stayed for a week at Castello di Tornano, 2 adults and a 13 year old daughter. I had no idea that it would be so lush and beautiful. We stayed in the apartment "bosso," which was ample for us. The furnishings, kitchen, bathroom were all very good. The options for outdoor leisure sitting were numerous, many with great...

My husband is a former travel agent, and I am a former wedding planner. Between us, we have extensive experience of hotels and venues all over the world. We chose Castello di Tornano to host our own wedding celebrations over a weekend and were delighted with all aspects of the service we received there. We had been concerned by several...
