My husband and I just returned from a 3 night stay at The Hotel Villa La Grotta and had a wonderful time! We arrived after a long, rainy drive and Doogie, Mohammed and Gigi were there to take our bags up to our room and pour us a tall glass of wine and a hot cup of tea! The room...

We just stayed at the Hotel Villa La Grotta for our honeymoon, which we booked after reading the numerous glowing reviews about it on TripAdvisor. The hotel is quite cute, and the staff, Doogie, Gigi, and Mohammed were very very nice. However, I must mention a few caveats. I unfortunately feel that the hotel is quite overpriced for the type...

My boyfriend and I spent a fantastic 5 days here. It is total relaxation from the moment you get there. We had a beautiful room with the biggest bed I've ever seen! The views were amazing and there is nothing quite like sitting out on the terrace with a G&T watching the sun set. We had just spent a week...

The villa is tucked a few kilometres up a dirt track close to Castle Brolio, not the easiest place to find in the dark despite some sign post. But we were greeted with a warm welcome from the owner Doogie that put us an ease. We weren’t happy with our room and Doogie very kindly upgraded us the following day...

These guests came to my hotel in September 2006 and have taken 4 months to submit their comments. We pride ourselves on the very highest of standards in this professional family run luxury hotel and we work very hard to make our guests feel welcome and have a very happy and memorable stay. One just has to read my visitor's...

Picture yourself situated in a beautiful historic Tuscan hotel, sounded by rolling hills, beautiful vineyards and magnificant medieval castles. In the hotel itself you will find an excellent peaceful restaurant serving local seafood specialties, unique and spacious rooms that ooze romance and a pool setting that is the definition of relaxation. However the best part of Hotel Villa La Grotta...

The surroundings of this villa are beautiful. It is surrounded by amazing vineyards and the gardening around the villa is lovely. We had dinner at the restaurant the first night and the food and service were very good. We stayed in a junior suite which was a lovely room, while our friends stayed in a superior room. I recommend the...

We cannot thank Doogie, Gigi and Phil for the wonderful experience that we had at Villa La Grotta. The create a wondeful atmosphere at the hotel at all times. We stayed for one week in late September and would have gladly stayed for another month if we could. The hotel is wonderful place to get a real taste of Tuscany...

We stayed for one week during our honeymoon in July 2004. The house and its surroundings are beautiful, the staff are in general delightful, our room was spacious (beautiful big old bed, good sized bathroom, lovely view) and pleasantly decorated. The restaurant is excellent. I would recommend the hotel very highly indeed but there were some points which slightly marred...

I write this with mixed feelings because when this gorgeous place gets discovered, it will be hard to book a room! We stayed at the Hotel Villa la Grotta for 4 nights in May 2005 on our honeymoon in one of the two suites. Our room was huge, with a window overlooking the hillside vineyards of the Castello di Brolio...

We stayed at the Villa la Grotta in May 2004 for 1 night. The staff was very friendly and immediately made you feel at home. We were upgraded to a suite which was large and comfortable with a wonderful view of the vineyards and countryside. The Villa is located on the grounds of Castello Briolio and a short distance from...
