My wife and I stayed 1 night with a guaranteed reservation.
We drove our rental car from Ragusa, stopping at Scicli along the way.
Arriving in Modica, Google Maps brought us to the hotel’s front door where I parked in front.
My wife rang the...More
As the name suggests, the Palazio Il Caveliere is an example of a old mansion turned into a quaint B&B with historic character – not uncommon in Sicily. In this case the family still lives in the Palazio and rents out about half of it...More
My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this charming palazzo perfectly located on the main street of magical Modica. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It was such a treat to open your eyes in the morning and see the amazingly beautiful frescoes...More

Hi there, we were there September 2014 for 4 days/3 nights. Parking in the immediate area during evening shop opening times can occasionally be difficult, I emphasis occasionally. . During the 3 nights we were there I think the furthest we had to park from the hotel was about 50m. Also, there is a big free car park about 100m away as a fall back. Bearing in mind that the hotel is an old villa and near the city centre I would not call parking problematical. While you are there you must sample the local chocolate - it is heavenly!
We went in late September 14 for 4 nights. Parking is outside of the hotel on the main Corsa Umberto road. It looked as though it would be difficult, but in fact we never failed to get free parking very close to the hotel.
