So we flew into Brindisi on the Orange budget carrier hired a car and drove to lecce then around the coastal roads to Gallipoli. I booked in December and flights accommodation were a decent price for early May. We decided on the B&B as it's location was central. Easy to find just off the main street with parking outside. The side streets have free parking the main road you pay. The B&B contacted us for our arrival time and met us outside. Check in was a breeze and we headed up to our room. Now if you don't do stairs this is not for you. 4 flights to our room..... But what a decent room clean fresh tastefully decorated comfy pillows and bed. Bathroom to was excellent with decent flow shower. Breakfast was continental in a room across the hall. There was also a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Gallipoli. We spent 2 nights it was very good very quiet, but remember those stairs!!!

The hotel is happily situated just a couple minutes' walk from the railway station and around the corner of the main street. The staff are very helpful and speak excellent English! The room is spacious and really clean with a big bed, a nice big bathroom and a view over the city and the sea. Every room has a name according to its color design, which also adds a pleasant touch. One of the main attractions of the hotel is a nice cosy roof terrace where breakfast is served in good weather! It is also possible to rent a bike in the hotel, which was really helpful, as all nearby offices were closed in October. If I have a chance to go again to Gallipoli, I will definitely try to stay at B&B Ghala.

We booked with Ghala B&B in December 2017 through Expedia. Upon our arrival to the hotel, the clerk at the desk told us that we didn't have a room. She texted another staff member who works at one of the other locations. That employee drove over on a golf cart and told us the same thing - we had no room. We explained that we booked through Expedia, we had our Expedia paperwork AND our name was in the computer. We saw our name on the computer, the first employee showed us our name, yet we were told there was no room. I don't know whether they over booked, didn't want us for some reason or what. We are two well educated, professional men. We were dressed modestly and our appearance should give no reason to make them think we wouldn't be good guests. We essentially had to book another hotel and thankfully had one available. They did NOTHING to accommodate us, despite us paying for our trip through Expedia. Stay clear of this place!
