A warm welcome awaited us at this 16th century hotel. We got lost on foot and were hot and tired on our arrival. We were met by Luigi and his son with a welcome glass of cold water. It is family run and very relaxing. If you’re looking for a luxurious hotel this isn’t for you. It’s Baroque interior is fabulous and it was built as a palace. Rooms are spacious, and clean and the food is fresh and well cooked. Breakfast is buffet style with cereal, bread, cold meats, fruit, yoghurt and some sweet pastries and croissants. Everyone is relaxed and helpful, but English isn’t spoken by many.. Luigis son does speak some English and was really helpful It’s in the heart of the beautiful old town and near to everything including the beach and port. The beach doesn’t have sun beds though but a…

The hotel is actually a really old nice Palazzo. The location is perfect. The roof top great for a view over the town. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel is very good. The rooms nice and clean. But the best of the best are the people. Luigi, Simona, Mirko and Milena are fantastic. They make you feel like at home. Whatever you need or want to know...just ask them and they will help you with good advices and tipps. We dont talk italian...so it was great that Mirko speaks english and Simona & Milena even german. GRAZIE MILLE.....we hope to see you soon again ;-)

Old Gallipoli is a beautiful town and the Palazzio Muzio (Dimora Murzio B&B) is the perfect place to stay, right next to the Cathedral in the centre of the town We spent two delightful nights there in a vast and airy room with a huge and comfortable bed. Breakfast is great, buffet-style in a spacious room. Downstairs in the courtyard is a very good restaurant. Luigi and his staff are charming and efficient and cannot do enough for you. Be sure to ask about the beach - they have an arrangement to use it for free, including shuttle transport there and back. A beautiful white sand beach with sunbeds and parasols and crystal clear water. We will surely go back.

Great little place in the old centre of Gallipoli and very reasonably priced. Despite our lack of Italian, the owner really went out of his way to communicate with us and help us out with information about the town, getting to the beach etc. Also had probably the best croissants I've ever had at the breakfast.

I enjoyed my stay at this B&B thanks to the historic building it is located in and the proximity to all sights in the old city. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were well equipped and simply amazing. It is not everyday you can stay in a 500 year old palace. The building has a nice rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy the morning sun and a view to the sea.

I would start with the fact that you cannot park at the B&B. Do not waist time with that. Park in the port. There are plenty spaces, and it is close (5min walk). The Palazzo Muzio it is awesome. A great choice to stay. The owners are friendly and always asking if all is OK, giving hints where to eat, what to see, where to go next. They do not speak English unfortunately. But at least they understand what you ask, and make the best to help you. It was a very nice experience staying here.

Clean room where everything works - tv, fridge, shower etc. Excellent host who speaks Italian (no English but we are in Italy). Fascinating roof top terraces. The fresh Pasticciotto at breakfast is to die for. Great value.

Nice little hotel in a quieter area off the main drag in Gallipoli. Pretty good breakfast on an amazing rooftop terrace. Partial view of the water is nice and the area is fairly quiet. Close to a market and everything else you could ask for. The rooms were nice and spacious with incredible high ceilings. Good air conditioning, nice hot water, and a friendly staff. I would stay here again, no problem!

This 16th century palazzo and its mellow host immediately won our hearts. The perfect location and spacious, atmospheric rooms and halls, the relaxed yet caring attitude, delicious plentiful breakfast every morning with lots of ripe fruit makes this place a real gem of Salento.
