The Grotta did not disappoint in any way.
It is a unique and beautiful jewel.
Vincenzo was extremely kind and helpful.
He arranged for a chef to prepare a delicious welcome meal, and we also had him come and bake wonderful pizzas in the wood...More
We took a big family trip to the Amalfi Coast (a first for all of us) a few weeks ago and the experience was unforgettable! La Grotta dei Fichi is like nothing you've ever seen before. This incredible villa is built into a mountain, and...More
A wonderful place to live the Italian experience. Vincenzo is an amazingly super organised host and will plan your holiday for you if you so wish. We stayed 10 days in his beautiful villa that was painstakingly carved out of the rock by his father....More

The villa has breathtaking views, great location and is a true escape from reality! From cooking lessons, home-made pizza, relaxation days to day trips to Capri it's overall a trip of a lifetime! Would return in an instant.

My husband and I stayed at Grotta dei Fichi with 10 friends recently. What a setting! We love to travel and can say that this experience was our best trip yet. Yes, there are 70 steps, but they are set amidst lovely, peaceful views and rest landings. It would be a sadness to think that someone may miss out on staying Grotta dei Fichi for any reason, especially since the steps are necessary to provide access to the wondrous & incredible site it was all constructed within.
Vincenzo, our gracious host at Grotta dei Fichi created an unforgettable connection to the Amalfi region for us and we came away from two weeks in this slice of heaven feeling as though we left our hearts there. We miss Grotta dei Fichi every day!
