Detailed Reviews
My wife and 2 year old son found ourselves unexpectedly without housing in Limerick when COVID struck our travel partners. In a pinch, we stumbled into Rathkeale and we're so glad that we did.
The room was totally sufficient - clean, comfortable, just as advertised. But the two owners went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. When my son was awake with jet lag at 2 am, I stumbled upon one cleaning up as I walked him around; he offered to make me a pot of coffee. On our first night, the folks in the next room over were very loud, which happens; the owners were aghast, dealt promptly with the noise, apologized profusely, comped us breakfast the next morning, and moved us (without our asking) into the honeymoon suite.
None of this was necessary, but all of this was profoundly generous and helpful as we navigated a stressful situation in a foreign country. We're so grateful, and writing this enthusiastic (and honest!) review is the least we can do.

It was a quick coffee stop for us while on our way from Limerick to Killarney.
The cheesy fries with veggies and the waffles were absolutely delicious,
The berry earl grey tea was soooo good, the best earl grey ever.
The staff was warm and courteous and accommodated our requests for vegetarian food, and they'll make us any vegetarian sandwich of choice.

Just had a lovely stay at Rathkeale House Hotel, started with the the genuine warm welcome from Bernie in reception. Like the rest of the hotel, the bedrooms were very clean, spacious, nicely decorated and furnished to a high quality standard. Anne the General Manager, made a point of introducing herself. She was attentive, asking was there anything we needed, extremely friendly and professional. We opted for breakfast, which was a good decision, as the service was quick and importantly the food was very tasty and plentiful.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel to my family and friends.
Thank you Anne and your team, you should be very proud.

This hotel doesn't is not for black people.
Paid for their deluxe double room for two nights stay.
It states this room has two double beds in the room description.
Got there paid and was checked in,got to the room and it had only one double bed .
Complained to the receptionist who got on the phone to her manager, comes back says the best they can do ,is put in a single bed ,we disagree as that is not what we paid for, goes back to her manager ,that's after smirking and shrugging throughout our conversation, walking away mid conversation telling us she wasn't having this conversation.
We are seated she is standing in earlier conversation.
Calls us over to speak to her manager on the phone at this time she is behind the desk, when we complain to the manager, she says she walked away because ,we verbally abused her,and then she says she feels threatened by us and was going to call the police,we say good as there are cameras to dispute these wild accusations.
Anyway long story short, they bring in a mattress and put it on the floor!
They then leave mid laying this matress.
The manager comes in the next morning, sees me in reception and asks to have a convo, I said okay and that I was going to ask my friends to join,as this affected us all,she says okay whilst waiting, she decides to start the convo I say no wait for my friends, she says so you can attack me ?
She then gets upset when we decide to have the conversation in the public space where there were witnesses.
It was basically the same routine as with the receptionist.
No apologies just more wild accusations.

I can't understand how this hotel could charge me €320 for two rooms for one night in November. It seems they've invested in their accommodations since my last stay but it's still just a small hotel in west Limerick. The weekend before, I stayed in a 5 star hotel in the centre of Prague where a full suite with private sauna cost €220 per night. To add to my disappointment, I discovered next day that Rathkeale House Hotel charged friends €40 less for the same night. On the upside, breakfast was as good as it gets and staff are lovely.

In May of 2022 I had the fortunate experience of staying 5 nights at the fabulous Rathkeale House Hotel. Everything about the hotel was perfect. It is a beautiful hotel with the feel of a cozy bed and breakfast. My room was beautiful— brand new bathroom! My every need was met with the utmost professionalism but also with a smile and often a laugh! The restaurant is great for meals throughout the day and I always enjoyed mingling with the staff!
If you’re looking for accommodations while visiting this truly beautiful area of Ireland, you will be overjoyed!

Booked this stay for three nights as travelling with a dog, the dog friendly hotel came in handy. There were other dogs on site but you would not know, as they were quiet and there was no dog hairs in sight. Very clean lobby and great attention to detail by management.
The staff could not do more to make the experience more pleasant. Marie's breakfast was perfect and her friendly and caring service even more so. Room service provided by the bistro manager was a kind addition. The sights outside of the town, the nearby village of adare made for a wonderful time and on top of this, I found my wedding gown during the stay!
Great times,
Would recommend for anyone, not just couples with dogs as the staff really does take care of you!

We had a ladies Christmas gathering and long awaited catch up following Covid. Ann and the team couldn’t have done enough to make our night special. The room was beautifully set, tv provided and music. The meal was delicious and Ciara was most attentive to all our needs

I stayed in Rathkeale House Hotel with my daughter and it was a wonderful stay. It is in a prime location with the beginning of the Greenway path at the back entrance to the hotel and Rathkeale town out the front entrance. Also so close to Adare.
There is also an excellent playground close by to the hotel which is fantastic for children.
I had both Carvery dinner and breakfast during my stay and both meals where delicious. The food was so fresh and the dinning area was nicely decorated.
The hotel and rooms have been newly refurbished and the detail throughout the hotel is amazing and so clean.
It was a lovely place to relax and have a coffee and my daughter was able to play too.
It was very busy in the evening with a great atmosphere in the lobby and the bar. It caters for all types of visitors.
Ann, the Manager, was very helpful when I was checking in as I was travelling alone. The rooms were finished to top class standard right through to the finish in the bathroom. Coffee making facilities available which I was able to make my daughter bottle.
Fabulous hotel, excellent food and wonderful staff. I will be back again.
