Nestled in an old orchard well recessed from the Main Street, with ample parking for 200 cars and coach bays. Rathkeale House oozes the charm and character of an old world hotel. However this purpose-built hotel only opened in 1997. Large, spacious public areas high ceilings, earthy colour decor, open fires and the use of wood create a unique atmosphere. The hotel has 26 tastefully-decorated bedrooms, all en-suite, with direct-dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities and multi-channel TV. Relax in the foyer where you may enjoy a leisurely drink by the warm glow of an open log fire. Be it that special treat, evening meal, wedding function or conference it is without doubt an ideal central venue. Newly Re-opened The Hotel was reopened in September 2011 under the ownership of Damien & Brenda O’Grady. Damien, Australian born has returned to his roots as his father was born just outside Rathkeale. Family-Run The hotel is family-run so you can be assured of personal attention at all times. It is our aim to ensure that your stay will be a truly memorable experience and we look forward to welcoming you back again in the future. Ideally Located The Hotel is ideally located for business travel & holiday makers with Shannon, Cork & Farranfore Airports all within easy reach.

Had a faultless communion celebration here on Saturday 7th may. Everything from the table setup to the barman Noel to Ann the lovely lovely host, I don't have enough superlatives to go on - but I think the message here is clear! If kids could write a review then the the dessert cart would get 5 Stars!! From Lucy's uncle and grandmother, well done rathhkeale house team!!!

I stayed in Rathkeale House Hotel with my daughter and it was a wonderful stay. It is in a prime location with the beginning of the Greenway path at the back entrance to the hotel and Rathkeale town out the front entrance. Also so close to Adare. There is also an excellent playground close by to the hotel which is fantastic for children. I had both Carvery dinner and breakfast during my stay and both meals where delicious. The food was so fresh and the dinning area was nicely decorated. The hotel and rooms have been newly refurbished and the detail throughout the hotel is amazing and so clean. It was a lovely place to relax and have a coffee and my daughter was able to play too. It was very busy in the evening with a great atmosphere in the lobby and the bar. It caters for all types of visitors. Ann, the Manager, was very helpful when I was checking in as I was travelling alone. The rooms were finished to top class standard right through to the finish in the bathroom. Coffee making facilities available which I was able to make my daughter bottle. Fabulous hotel, excellent food and wonderful staff. I will be back again.

Booked this stay for three nights as travelling with a dog, the dog friendly hotel came in handy. There were other dogs on site but you would not know, as they were quiet and there was no dog hairs in sight. Very clean lobby and great attention to detail by management. The staff could not do more to make the experience more pleasant. Marie's breakfast was perfect and her friendly and caring service even more so. Room service provided by the bistro manager was a kind addition. The sights outside of the town, the nearby village of adare made for a wonderful time and on top of this, I found my wedding gown during the stay! Great times, Would recommend for anyone, not just couples with dogs as the staff really does take care of you!
