Detailed Reviews
I came here for a girls holiday in a group of 6 and it exceeded expectations. With it being family run it is a great vibe, very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were good with good prices. The pool/bar area is really nice and you weren’t having to fight for a sunbed as it wasn’t too busy (however this may have been due to going outside of school holidays). We also liked that you were allowed inflatables.
We had a bottle of wine in the fridge when we arrived and the room looked nice and was very clean. It was cleaned by a maid daily with towels and bedding changed. The beds were very comfortable which was surprising as we were expecting one to be a sofa bed but it was a proper bed. The room was very hot when we arrived but it cooled down during the week, but you can buy air conditioning. You can also pay for a safe. My only criticism would be that there could’ve been more crockery and kitchen utensils, as well as a microwave (but you get this with better rooms).
The hotel felt very safe, with a security guard at night who made sure people were quiet when getting back from the strip in the early hours of the morning, which is good for families and older people.
It is a good location and was about a 15 minute walk to the strip and about a 10 minute walk to the old town so you get a bit of both. There are also lots of restaurants/shops (for example a small supermarket literally next door) and excursion offices nearby.
I would definitely recommend coming here for a holiday with friends as it’s a great vibe and had other girls/lads holidays staying there and not too many families outside of school holidays. I also think it would be good for families during school holidays.
We booked through easyjet holidays and was a very good price for what we got, would definitely come back.

Clean & modern apartments with air con. Pool area and grounds are well kept with plenty of free sunbeds and umbrellas in the surrounding landscaped gardens (no need to get up early to put your towels down!)
Rooms cleaned every day, including fresh towels. Room had 2x a/c units, fridge freezer, hotplate, kettle, toaster, hairdryer, safe and a small balcony. Free wifi throughout resort. Great location for the old town with it's many resturants and bars, or 8 minute walk to the strip for those who fany something livelier.
Beaches are about a 15 minute walk via the strip with plenty of bars to grab refreshments along the way. Recommend heading away from the strip for less congested beach, or take the bus to Stalis.

An absolute gem of a place. We stayed here from the 13th to the 20th September and it was fairly quiet which was nice for us. Very relaxing and run by a really lovely family who like to make sure you have a good time and that everything is perfect. You must try their cocktails they are amazing 🍹🍹🍹
The Kristalli is absolutely immaculate, both inside rooms, reception etc and also the pool area and bar. I could not find fault and I am OCD 🙈
The apartments are far enough away from the town where all of the night life and noise happens but close enough to walk in about 5 mins. The old town has some amazing restraunts and lovely to stroll around in the evening
We hired a quad bike and went off to visit other areas and I have to say it is well worth doing this.
We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you all for making our stay a memorable one. Yvonne & Jules

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in Sept 2023 and we had the best time! Straight upon our arrival we were greeted and told everything we need to know about the hotel and our room, plus a bottle of wine. The staff truly are what makes this hotel, they cannot do enough for you and make you feel extremely welcome.
Food is great and the cocktails at the bar were even better. Some of the best we’ve had!
Our room was spotless everyday and there were plenty of sun beds to use, along with pillows and parasols which were a nice extra touch.
The location is great if you want be close to the old town of Malia, the strip and beach is a 15/20 min walk. However we mainly stayed in the old town which was beautiful and traditional. I highly recommend trying all the restaurants and bars in this area, it’s where we had our best meals.
Overall thank you for a fabulous stay and treating us like family especially when it was time to leave. Highly recommend.

Firstly the complex is run by a very welcoming family who make everyone feel welcomed, shame we only stayed for 1 week but will look to stop again.
Rooms very basic but had cooking facilities, air conn (extra) and a tv - maid service seemed to clean the sheets everyday. Pool was fairly big and a smaller one for toddlers. Breakfast was served in the pool bar and was all fresh and continental (we were B&B) . Location 10 mins from most restaurants and bars in the old town or 15 mins to the strip. Location was quiet so not being disturbed by loud music etc. would recommend..

Just returned from a wonderful stay here . Hotel was just perfect. Beautifully kept gardens, a lovely relaxing pool area and bar, and a well equipped studio apartment. We were located in a studio overlooking the lovely garden which was extremely quiet. The studio was dated in its furnishing but it provided everything we needed - full WiFi, AC (extra €9 a night) complimentary toiletries, safe and even towels for the pool. It’s set in a great location for exploring the old town, and Approx 15 walk to the strip and a little further to beach. A great base for easy bus routes to other must see destinations as well. Couldn’t fault it - thanks

Hotel was ok and during the day is a very chilled place if your a young tourist exploring Malia. However once we came back on a night, the night staff spoke to us (especially the females) in a very harsh way. We were sat on balcony chatting quietly between us and he continuously ordered us to go to bed asking if we were lawyers if any queries were asked, even when returning before midnight.
Heat wise weather was lovely but hotel requested you paid €10 per night for the air conditioning, which we assumed would be a part of the hotel cost. Unfortunately it wasn’t so the hotel cost an extra €70 per week if you wanted your room to be liveable temperature especially on a night.
The way we were spoke to and treated especially on an evening was very brutal for a holiday destination known for its nightlife and we won’t be staying at this hotel again.

Our last day today we booked this purely on the amount of good reviews we read. I can only add to them so many people return time and time again and it’s so easy to see why.
It’s just a pleasure to spend time here you feel like your part of the family, they all work so so hard to make sure everything is just so.
It’s spotlessly clean, breakfast was ample and every other meal snack was super tasty.
There age demographic of guests is widespread but yet they somehow cater for everyone.
Can’t say thank you (Efcharisto) enough for making our holiday one to never forget.

This hotel is the most welcoming, family run hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. The complimentary wine was gorgeous! The staff can't do enough for you, they are so friendly all the time. The room had a lovely view of the pool, we watched a wedding ceremony from our balcony on our first night there! which was an added bonus! The room had everything we needed, including kettle, microwave, hot plates, fridge etc. The bed was comfy and the room was kept spotless. I would not hesitate to go back, it's a great base for seeing the local sights, you can walk to quite a few places from there. The old town village is so picturesque, filled with lovely little restaurants a short walk away.

We stayed at Kristalli apartments for a wk last June and returned this June with an additional 6 members of our family and again it was an exceptional stay, the staff couldn't do enough, the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. We had a few lunches and evening meals at the hotel and they were great, same standard as you would get in the old town. It's a family run hotel and you do feel like part of the family and not just a number. Sitting round the pool and bar talking to people 75% of the people have been coming for years and I fully understand why and can't wait to return. Yes for all the people moaning about the 10 euros a day for the Aircon, look at other properties in Malia they are a lot more expensive and don't include air con and don't deliver and go the extra mile like the staff at Kristalli do. Thank you for an amazing stay and treating us like part of the family, we can't wait to come back. Also like to say a big thank you to Giannhs who is an awesome addition to the team and gave us lots of giggles!

We’re a group of guys staying in August here too, we’ve not been here as a group before. I have came to Malia previously 6 times with different mates and mostly all hotels that have a pool will have people to chat and go out with everyone is super friendly. I do think because this hotel is 5-10 min walk from the strip it’ll be way more relaxing and possibly have a couple families staying there too! We fly out 11th August!
