We've eaten good food and consumed some of the world's finest wines in France, Austria, Germany, California, etc. My wife and I both agree that we've never eaten as well as we did in the Hotel Unstruttal. Not only is this place conveniently located right on the town square, it is lovingly cared for, serves excellent meals (with Vegetarian options) cooked by the owner-couple, and even rents bikes! Truly outstanding service. We stayed 2 nights, and owner/wife even helped plan a terrific day of cycling and lent us a detailed local map to take with us. Bathrooms...

This beautiful hotel is centrally located in the Saxon region near many of Germany's most famous historic sites. The hotel building is great - the hostess told us it dates back to something like the 16th or 17th century, but the rooms are completely refurbished, quite comfortable, and very clean. We had a perfect stay in this little hotel placed in a tiny lovely town. Had half-board during our stay and the food was excellent and and the price reasonable. Room was nice with a modern and beautiful bathroom. Nice place to stay for visiting the wineries in the region. Lot of good wines, both white and red.

We stayed here as a group of friends in a 3 bedded room. The room and bathroom were beautiful newly renovated and the beds were super. We opted for demi pension and the dinner was beautifully presented and gourmet standard. The staff were outstandingly helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel while exploring the natural areas and small towns in this region. Our hosts and their staff were very helpful. Ria speaks English very well which was quite helpful for us as we were looking for some small botanical reserves where we could photograph spring flowers in dry grassland sites. We stayed here to tour Sachsen-Anhalt and we could not have choosen a better place. The hotel is fairly new renovated and all rooms are spacy, clean and comfortable. The same applies to the bath rooms where the exclusion of larger towels would be the only minor shortcoming. The breakfast buffet was well presented and ample and the choice of...
