I stayed here for my 3rd night of my motorbike tour. Would stay again. Overall good value at €75. Comments as follows: PRO’s: includes decent breakfast with eggs/meat/cheese, warm English speaking welcome, honesty bar, no garage but managed to squeeze my VFR800 bike into the v safe and quite large bicycle store (entrance is tight), v clean and quiet, restaurants a 15 min walk away (but hotel has one) CON’s: I had single bed

We stayed at St. Fridolin for one night during a short business trip to Stein, just across the Swiss border. The hotel is located at the Bad Sackingen city border, but it's still near the town center. We found the staff at the hotel very friendly and helpful. We found the rooms rather standard, but spotlessly clean, including the separate bathroom with shower. I just wish the hotel would offer their foreign clients some English language TV channels, just to watch some of the news, eg. CNN, BBC World, ABC or the likes. Extremely good sleeping comfort, although I did get some noise from the adjacent room, but I guess this is kinda normal. Breakfast was excellent, nothing too fancy, but a nice selection of food all looking fresh and tasting great. Good coffee also. To summarise, we would probably return to this hotel for a next visit to the area.

A delightful clean and friendly hotel ! Peaceful and comfortable with an excellent service. We enjoyed the tranquility after busy days of Basel World's hectic pace . The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant . We were given free train passes and she arranged for taxis to the station. Nestled on the edge of the Black Forest this hotel has an old world charm with modern facilities. We loved it! Thank you to the gracious staff.

The hotel is on the outskirts of town, at the top of a hill, and is very quiet. We had a large modern room with a view over the town. Everything here was clean and worked well. The breakfast buffet was very good, with a wide selection. Bicycle storage is available in a covered and locked area.

The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was great. The floors were tile and the rooms have a cool feel, but large and very nice. We had a balcony, but it was too cold to be used. You will need to have a really good map, or gps to find the hotel. Great restaurants in the town.
