I came here with my parents. We agreed that the atmosphere was nice and service was very good. The only things I would say that they need to improve is then menu. It comes in a leather book which looks very used and tired, also the layout is very confusing. The food however was excellent and if they could sort...

Great hotel, really pretty exterior and clean and comfortable inside. Location is great to walk into the small town of Aubeterre, which is definitely worth a look around. The photos don't do the pool area justice, we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were basic and clean which was all we needed. The restaurant was fully booked for lunch and dinner...

My husband and I were only staying here for 1 night before we moved on to one of the local chateauxs for a wedding. In all honesty we didn't spend any time here other than to sleep, but our room was extremely comfortable and the staff at check in and check out very helpful. The hotel itself was really pretty...

Lovely hotel with fantastic, welcoming staff in the most idyllic French village. Can highly recommend. Pool and hot tub an added bonus! And we even canoed from the river beach which is just a stone's throw away. We didn't eat in the hotel but walked up to the village square on an evening which is picturesque and loved walking the...

We booked in with friends from America, for the evening meal. Service was polite & arrived without waiting for our initial drinks and time to peruse the menu. Our trusted Dog was with us, and without asking - a bowl of water was given to her, by one of the staff. The meal arrived in a timely manner - allowing...

What a great little place. Once you get to Aubeterre (which is a little tricky), you couldn't do better than this place. Rooms were great and accomodating, restaurant had amazing food (former Michelin star chef at the helm) and the staff were so nice and eager to help out whenever they could. After chatting to staff I discovered it's a...

This hotel is situated just outside, but in easy walking distance of, the centre of the attractive ancient town of Aubeterre sur Dronne. The town and the hotel are heavily patronised by the British, indeed for my taste the whole town, while pretty was all a bit too much Dordogneshire. The hotel has attractive public rooms and a nice looking...

Stayed in this hotel late May, was attending a wedding in the area and used this as our base – we had 4 nights and have to say it was fantastic. The owners, Rachel and Fabrice are brilliant and all of the staff both in the restaurant and (Debbie) on reception were always willing to help and advise and make...

Stayed here 2 weeks ago to attend a nearby wedding. The hotel exceeded expectations on most fronts. the owners were friendly, courteous and incredibly helpful with tips to make the most of our short stay.Staff mirrored the owners ethos. Typical hotel breakfast but the lunches and dinners were something else. Imaginative, modern cooking using the best of local produce. Small...

If you live or are staying in the area, the restaurant at the Hotel Perigord serves a sumptuous six/seven course lunch, which is well worth booking. A real lesson in hospitality and not a turkey in sight. Oysters, wild boar, sea bass and three different types of desert and very reasonably priced for the quality. The room is lovely and...
