Stayed with Mzushi for four nights. Very nice man who went out of his way to make us welcome and show us around the town. Really nice breakfast. Great if you want to self cater too. 10/15 minute walk to the beach, but Mzushi is alway happy to drive.

This place is the best hostel/hotel in Tanzania for sure!! The owner would give his life for his customers and he literally gave it for us. Breakfast was included (13$ for dorm bed) and really good! Everything is very clean, hot showers and good mattresses! Even laundry service was for free! And as that wasn't enough he even gave us...

The owner is the coolest, funniest and friendliest person on the whole island! He took us to the beach and restaurant with his own car several times for free (not like everywhere else), also a very good breakfast and laundry service was included! Great Hostel for great price - I would go there again for sure

Very friendly and helpful owner. Mzushi offered/provided free transport to the beach and back. Cozy courtyard was a relaxing place to hang out. Only a 15 min walk to beautiful Nungwi beach. The owner is an awesome cook. If you stay there, be sure to have him cook you a dinner. Delicious fresh and local food at a great price....

I stayed at this place in July 2016 - alone. If you're a Girl that's probably the worst decision you can make! The hostel owner is abosolutely disgusting and obtrusive! One of the Girls at the hostel (also alone) was so scared of him (as he stood behind her in the bathroom of the dorm at night - asking her...

This place is a great friendly reliable and cheap option for access to Nungwi and Kendwa beaches (full moon party is another story - enjoyable for food and performances, not really a drinking "party" occasion). The host of homeland swahili lodges is very accommodating and will drive you to places and recommend good spots etc. You can walk straight down...

The owner is extremely hospitable and goes out of his way to help his guests. From a delicious breakfast to tips on the area to essentially a free taxi service! And the rooms had hot water showers which was a very pleasant surprise. Accommodation on a budget, highly recommended

Arrived here on a budget, this lodge offers the cheapest accommodation in Nungwi at $25 a night for an en suit room. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, a lot nicer than we expected for the price. Mzushi is the nicest man we have met in the whole of Africa! (been here for 8 months). He is also probably the...

We got stucked in this beautiful place for more than a week, because we just loved staying at this place. Although it's not located directly on the beach (it's a 10 minutes bycicle-ride and there are free bikes to use) it's an oasis! And Mzushi, the owner, is just one of the lovliest persons we met in Tanzania. He's very...
