I liked everything about James Guest house. Good Location, great people, cheapest place in nungwi to live, nice breakfast in morning. The beach is excellent, one of the best in the world. Will be back here very soon..

We stayed at James Guest House for 2 nights. We stayed at this place because everything else was sold out. Originally we had booked the place for 4 nights, but after two days we had had enough. James Guest house is a hostel and so we didn’t have high expectations (we have studied/lived in several African countries and we know...

We booked this hotel in December 2012 for a family holiday. The Hotel owner demanded more money than the mentioned price in their webpage, but we agreed to pay more as all the other hotels were booked. We were told to pay in advance for the whole 5 nights when we reach there. The rooms were dark and full of...

we booked 2 nights by phone at the guest house for 5 people, at a 12$ p/p rate. though the low price we were told that there's free wifi and fans in the rooms. even though we told the owner our arrival time, the rooms were not ready when we got there. at that time, only after we asked, the owner...

We just stayed for two nights in this place and it's by far the worst hostel I've ever been to abroad (and I've traveled a lot). The owner is rude and absolutely unpleasant. He charged us the money upon arrival, wasn't avilable for our (many) complaints, didn't supply what he promised us (free wi-fi) and treated us like a liability....

I stayed at James' Guesthouse for six nights. I was a little anxious before I arrived because of the low price and the reviews I had seen about other places in Nungwi -the cheapest but most decent I could find. I was nicely surprised by how clean, new and nice the rooms were. There was a little issue with the room...

We travelled in a group after a 5 week tour of Africa and this was the final leg, we found this place after a muffled Skype call and checked in a few days later. 7 people for 3 days. We were overcharged but didnt mind too much because of the short notice. After 1 night, I decided to leave my...

CHEAP AND EASY TO FIND After a quite expensive stay in Stonetown I expected to only find expensive B&B's at touristic nungwi beach. We saw the signs of James' guest house all over Nungwi village when we arrived with the daladala. This way it was easy to find it. Though we did not book anything in advance and the two-bed-rooms...

My husband and I stayed at James guest house last December for 10 days in a double room and without prior booking. We arrived in Zanzibar and found this guest house straight away as it is very close to the beach. It is not located on the beach therefore it is cheaper but it is literally a 3 minutes walk...

Upon arriving at James's Guest House after a long flight my first thoughts were to have a shower, unpack and explore the area. When i arrived there was an assistant at reception who seemed to know little about my booking. When I eventually got the key to my room i was disappointed to find my room was cramped, dingy and...
