We were booked elsewhere for our return trip to Wanaka and when that place ended up being fairly crummy, Paul and Bernie adjusted their schedule to accommodate us. We aren't normally B&B people, but this one could change our mind. Lovely hosts who were very helpful and pleasant, nice breakfast, beautiful setting, comfortable room, nice surroundings. And they introduced us...

We stopped in Wanaka for two nights and so grateful we booked this lovely place! It has been designed to maximize the comfort of their guests. The rooms are very stylishly decorated and warm and welcoming at the same time. Our room opened on to an expanse of farmland with majestic snow-capped mountains along the horizon. The bath towels, amenities,...

Nice, quiet location with lovely mountain and farm views about 5 minutes drive from Wanaka. Our room was well appointed, warm and had a nice modern bathroom. We visited during winter so the Maple trees were bare, however I am sure the vista would be lovely other times of the year. Bernie provided us with a lovely afternoon tea of scones, jam and cream which...

Upon booking in later in the afternoon tea, coffee and scones were provided for our party of four. The rooms were very comfortable, the en suite had a heated floor which was much...

Beautiful location a few minutes drive from Wanaka. Lovely rooms, comfy beds, luxury bathroom. Enjoyed a soak in the spa, surrounded by stunning scenery. Paul and Berny were excellent hosts and provided an excellent breakfast, both cooked and continental. They were also very helpful with suggestions of things to do and placed to go. Definitely recommended.

This was a great find just outside of the touristy bits of Wanaka. The rooms were new, clean, and included a nice outdoor patio area. It was a perfect location to soak in the scenery and rest after a day of hiking. The couple who runs the place were very friendly and provided us with great restaurant and hiking recommendations....

We stayed here overnight en route to Queenstown. Lovely setting off the beaten track and owners Paul and Berny couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. After a long drive we arrived to tea and scones and while we were enjoying them Paul kindly rang our tour company to confirm our trip to Milford Sound the following day. Breakfast was...

We spent 3 nights at the Maple Lodge. Paul & Berny are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Booking restaurants etc for us. The rooms are spacious and amenities are great ( perhaps an extra bottle of shower gel and a chic and bed turn down every night would add to the experience. ) The views are fantastic...

This is a beautiful, secluded lodge, and yet is only a few minutes drive to lakeside at Wanaka, Stunning panorama of the mountains! Paul and Berney were friendly and helpful. Paul recommended the 'River Journey' half day Jet Boat excursion which yielded spectacular views in the Mount Aspiring National park together with film locations for the 'Lord of the Rings'....
