Steve and Rosie could not be better hosts. Whilst a little out of the main centre, they drop you off and pick you up and most importantly make you feel welcome in their magnificent home. Wanaka is an amazing place and beacon lodge I cannot recommend highly enough. Glenn and Kate

My husband and I eloped in New Zealand and spent three weeks experiencing the beautiful country. We were only in Wanaka for two and a half days, but couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and have beautiful patios with a view. Felt the cooked breakfasts could have been better for the price,... More

My wife and I spent two nights at Beacon Lodge and we could have easily spent two weeks. Rosie and Steve were perfect hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed their company. Our room was very comfortable!. The home is a very short drive from the center of Wanaka(2-3 minutes). We enjoyed sitting on the patio outside our bedroom door and enjoying a... More

We really enjoyed staying at Beacon Lodge and it's one of the highlights in our family trip of five people. The location is about 1 minute drive from the town center in the surrounding residential area which made us feel less like tourists in the town. The house is lovely and the guest rooms are simple but elegant. Rosie and... More

A charming B&B with lovely views of the mountains. Room was comfortable with delicious little snacks. Every morning's breakfast was delicious. We found the location lovely as it was a little further from town and we liked being a little more tucked away. Great stay.

We decided to elope in New Zealand and found Wanaka to be picture perfect. The Beacon Lodge was the perfect place to spend our wedding weekend. Drive up the long driveway and arrive at a perfectly landscaped home with a direct view of the lake and mountains. Walk into the interior courtyard and the scent from the rosemary shrub fills... We arrived in beautiful Wanaka after a tiring drive down the west coast and wound our way up the hill to Rosie and Steve's haven. It then just got better. Their home has the most amazing setting overlooking the mountains to the west with the sun setting beyond. It then became sublime when we were invited to use the hot... More
