We arrived here late after a day's fishing and after we had travelled on from Tekapo because everything was booked out there. We stayed two nights - first in backpackers which was clean but cramped and then in a motel room. We then ran out of availability. There is a laundry which is useful but this is a one -...

In general the rooms are ok. But the owner of this place was so rude to us pretty unbelieveble. Me and my friend came to this hostel as it was the only hostel available closeby to mount cook. We tried to cook after coming back from hiking the mountain but were constantly disturbed by the owner who blamed us for...

This is a very good stay if you can accept simple. All is clean, service very nice, and you have all you need, but rooms are kept very simple. Twizel is a nice place with a variety of things to do. A shopping ctr and pub is close by and have good food.

Not particularly comfortable bed, was built with the town in the 70s and doesn't seem to have had any updates since. It's basic but it was a roof and we did sleep eventually. Kitchen was basic but had full facilities

Well, I stayed here because Mt Cook & Lake Tekapo was fully booked. Room is clean, shower is warm, reception is friendly. Supermarket and bar are right next door. Kitchen is well equipped and common area spacious. It is basic and functional and really nothing more than that.

Me and my 3 mates came up to Twizel for new years from the 29th-3rd of January, upon receiption we were told "everything goes down hill from here" and told multiple times that any foot out of line from any of us and No one gets there bond back. The room we had was a 1 bedroom unit with an...

Let me say right form the beginning that I did not expect much from the accommodation given the price at the very height of Christmas season. However.... My husband and I had not pre-booked any accommodation and this location was the last available. We booked a double room with ensuite. Chris, behind the desk was super friendly and gave us...

There was nowhere else available within the range that we are prepared to pay for accommodation (and we booked in June! ). Stayed for 2 nights with my husband and 16-year-old daughter. We stayed in the one-bedroom with ensuite. The room was definitely tired but very clean. That's all good when all you want is a pleasant place to sleep....

The condition of the house is terrible, stains on bed linens, smelly towels, the kitchen cutlery is not complete and not clean, lights not working, sofa was smelly and moldy. We understand that we do not spend huge money on these rooms, but the basic hygiene is necessary. Not recommended to anyone.
