We booked a one night stay here over easter as it was the only room left in town as left it late to book. We booked a studio with en-suite. Hey it was OK, very clean, nice linen with jug, plates etc. Hot water great pressure. The only downer is the en-suite rooms are amongst the shared bathroom bedrooms. So...

This was a very good value motel. It was basic but clean and was a good stopping off place en route to wanaka. The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking was good. We had a comfortable nights sleep and it was very quiet which was good ! Thank you.

First night at a regular room was awful- small with minimal facilities. Second night, after we upgraded to a flat , adding 40$ for the night, was great - a large bedroom, a sitting area and a fully equipped kitchen. The WiFi signal was bad.

Wanted to stay Lake Tekapo but too expensive, and glad we chose Twizel. Less commercial, and as a result we went up to Mt Cook which we probably would have missed if at Tekapo. The hostel had the usual mix of nationalities and we chatted over dinner with a couple of travelling Swedes, a guy who had come over from...

Tekapo was booked and way too expensive so on to twizel booked here before I read the reviews. Silly me. It was budget but clean for outdated old building. Walls paper thin could hear people easily thru walls. Hallway floor creaked really badly with lots of people walking along it all hours of night. Shared bathroom which was clean. We...

Stayed here for early start to Mount Cook. Units are fairly basic, almost seem like contractors' buildings or old fashioned holiday park units. However it was clean and comfortable and helpful staff. Value for money and no complaints

We arrived here late after a day's fishing and after we had travelled on from Tekapo because everything was booked out there. We stayed two nights - first in backpackers which was clean but cramped and then in a motel room. We then ran out of availability. There is a laundry which is useful but this is a one -...

In general the rooms are ok. But the owner of this place was so rude to us pretty unbelieveble. Me and my friend came to this hostel as it was the only hostel available closeby to mount cook. We tried to cook after coming back from hiking the mountain but were constantly disturbed by the owner who blamed us for...

This is a very good stay if you can accept simple. All is clean, service very nice, and you have all you need, but rooms are kept very simple. Twizel is a nice place with a variety of things to do. A shopping ctr and pub is close by and have good food.

Not particularly comfortable bed, was built with the town in the 70s and doesn't seem to have had any updates since. It's basic but it was a roof and we did sleep eventually. Kitchen was basic but had full facilities
