For one or two nights this is an okay place to stay, due to its location. Staff at front desk were warm and friendly. Pro's - great location - friendly staff - clean room - town centre close by - some nice enough places to eat nearby - plenty of parking spaces - central location for visiting nearby lakes and...

We booked this place for our one night in Twizel as we travelled to Queenstown. It's big and although a bit tired, it was comfortable and clean. The lady at reception was really helpful and friendly and gave us lots of great tips for our journey to Queenstown. We had a room upstairs with a view of the mountains.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and most accommodating. We had a standard room which was very comfortable. Lovely outlook. We ate at the in-house restaurant - had the buffet meal which was very good. Wine was also excellent. Highly recommended to travellers seeking a comfortable night's rest.

Room was huge but felt old and musty. There were spider webs on the balcony (obviously have been there for some time). Reception was friendly. Adequate for a one night stay but room needs a deep, deep clean. Choose a room on the second floor, facing the garden (away from the car park). Breakfast was ok.

Clean with large rooms and very pretty views. No air-conditioning and a very basic fan heater, rather dated bathroom. Lots of coach parties and breakfast was a very basic buffet style affair. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was at the front of the hotel and there was quite a lot of noise from coaches and cars coming...

Hotel was still under renovations when we visited. The room was well below the standards we experienced on our tour in comparison. However, as a single night stopover it was adequate. Room had TV, comfy beds and tea making facilities. Meals were very good and service excellent. Main issue was that rooms did not have wifi, and the only available...

a lovely place to stay, rooms where a little outdated, but very comfortable. The restaurant was lovely and great food, and a great drinking area around the open fire. a quiet little town, make sure you get all your provisions early in the day.

We stayed at the Mackenzie Country Inn during our 3 week trip to NZ. This is one of the few accommodation options available outside of the Mount Cook National Park area. Starting from the outrageous Kiwi prices, everything about this place is horrible. The hotel is outdated. The decor was depressing. EVERYTHING in it is old, dingy and dusty -...

A huge complex. Check-in was a breeze. The rooms are well decorated, small in size keeping in view that it is for 4 people. There is a kettle. Plug points are well placed and not in an inaccessible position. The cupboard was big but there's hardly any room to walk. The balcony facing the garden is a good afterthought. Bathroom...
