Stayed here for 1 night. Good sized room with comfortable bed. Also able to do some laundry here. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel a bit dated but clean and tidy. Buffet meal good but not exceptional. Could be more choice of vegetables and desserts.Overall pleasant but hotel rates and food and drink a little overpriced.

We were here for one night stay. Hotel is very basic with big size rooms and two queen size beds. Bathrooms are ok, with old fittings. Service is slow. Dinner and breakfast was ok nothing special. Food quality was average. Our room was facing lawn with nice view. They have bikes on rent.

Stayed there two nights and were happy with our room. Had everything we needed: a good bed, good bathroom, etc. did not had dinner or breakfast there. Tried to drink a few wines in the bar, but seems we are not welcome there: service is poor, no one there, or busy with everything else than offering drinks. Also bar closes...

I feel that for $200/night it was probably the most dated hotel I've ever stayed in. The bedroom was a good size but the bathroom felt like stepping back intime 30 years. I quite enjoyed the breakfast and location was good but I think it was extremely overpriced for what you get.

Seemed like a nice place to stay booking online, very dated rooms. But the most disappointing thing was how dirty the room was. Stained bedding and towels, room looked like it hadn't been luxed for a few days crumbs everywhere. Put us off dining at the restaurant, wouldn't stay here again.

This is not a fancy place at all. It's just a nice place to sleep and eat. The room is very big, the bed is a bit soft but fine. Lots of outlets and the free wifi is good. Good sized bathroom but the towels are a bit small. Be aware there is no A/C. No need for it on...

Situated in a location basically in the middle of nowhere, this is a very spacious hotel, with very friendly staff. The lounge areas are comfy and quiet, but in need of updating. The bedroom was huge and lovely view across to mt Cook, as we found out in the morning. Beds were comfy, but the room and the bathroom was...

Rooms are very dated but defiantly one of the better places to stay in twizel, breakfast also is included which was nice but I think it's a little expensive for the room. Shops are close, service was also good.

We went for the lakes and mountains so where not disappointed. The hotel is a two storey motel type construction without lifts which is somewhat dated inside however it's clean and tidy plus the staff are both polite and friendly. We had a second floor room which had a lovely full glass wall of which 50% opened to a small...

Trying to organise accommodation in Twizel in any January is hard as there isn't much in Twizel and it is peak season. The Mackenzie country inn charges $275 per night for a poorly decorated family room which I think has not been updated since the seventies. The furniture must have been the same since the hotel opened. The bathroom was...
