This Is a very late post, but I felt it necessary to add it. We read the reviews on this hotel, but my friend and I wanted to get away on a budget and the price was right. We booked last minute and left the following day. Mangos is right on the water, next to where the ships come in near Falmouth. The 'cottage like' rooms were spacious and comfortable, although the washrooms were very dated. If you had a room next to the swamp, you would be convered in mosquito bites...we had hundreds of them. It didn't matter how much bug spray you used. Yes, they fumigated the grounds but it was still a BIG problem! Most of the chairs on the beach were broken, we managed to use the best of the worst. The dock was in serious need of repair and we saw someone fall through a chair on the dock...not good at all! The food was ok, however, I asked the chef for some oxtail, gave him money to purchase it and make it especially for us one dinner...it was fantastic! You cannot fault the staff for not having the tools to serve their customers. Most of them bent over backwards trying to accomdate their guests. Unfortunately their manager was not a nice man at all...who treated them poorly and was extremely rude. Food was limited at times and yes, the grilled cheese sandwiches were a real problem for me one lunch. While I understood they were undercapacity, this was not going to be accepatable for the rest of my week. I complained and we got a few more options the next few days. I truly was not going to let this ruin our trip as we were in paradise...just not staying at a 'paradise like' resort. Liqour … no top shelf alcohol available and outside of New Years, the bar closed at 10pm. Not sure what an Adults only hotel is doing with serving no alcohol after 10pm. Something is very wrong with this picture! Hot water ... there was none! Luke warm was a commodity once or twice, but other than that...you were having a cold shower. When you asked about it, you were told that there was a water main break on the city side and it was being fixed. Dirty pool ... yes it was! Even though you saw someone cleaning it, it always looked cloudy. The 'hot tub' was a joke! Entertainment - for the most part was non existant. They had a few nights of planned activities, but with so few people at the resort, nothing really happened. New Years Eve - I have to give full props here...Mangos pulled out all the stops. Endless tabels of food, a band, a dj and fireworks over the water. This was the highlight of our trip! It all went downhill after that. (We flew in Dec 31, 2018 - January 6th, 2019). Again, I cannot stress that the staff cannot be faulted for the lack of service. When you speak to them they are trying to make a living like anyone else, they simply did not have the tools to serve you properly. This place needs an investor to take it over, put some money into it and turn it into the real gem it could be.

The rooms a are beautiful. But the service is lacking. The food was good but very limited for a all inclusive hotel. It has no proper bartender to mix drinks. Beach was messy pool was clean and drinks were made with the cheapest liquors on the market. But it's a 3 star hotel not a 5 star so you can expect better......

Sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Mangos is less than 4 years old so photos are no older than that and Facebook photos are always kept current. Not sure what you were unhappy with - the large rooms right on the water - over 600 feet of beach - relaxing, laid back Jamaican vibe.... Hope you find your happy place.

This is not a suitable place to stay. We are the only guests we have seen since we arrived. Food was terrible for lunch. Suppose to have 4 restaurants and only has one, open air. Refrig was not stocked with anything. Pool is too dirty to even get in. Lounge chairs are ripped and unsafe to sit in. We are ready to leave but can’t get any help from Groupon or Jet Set travels. DO NOT COME.

So sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Mangos. August is a very slow month for travelers which is how you got your super discounts. There are 200 loungers to choose from, sorry you got a bad one. Pool is cleaned daily and monitored by government of Jamaica. There are 4 restaurants, they are not all open at all times. Sorry you could not relax and enjoy the Jamaican vibe.
