Had the most amazing time at the royalton blue waters. Our stay was from feb 26/ March 2nd. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, I felt right at home. The hotel staff are truly amazing ..special thank you to Mr. Romaine from the Jerk Hut and his staff. They truly showed tremendous hospitality and the food was AMAZING! Mr.Romaine and his staff made sure my friends and I were well accommodated every time we went to the jerk hut! I truly look forward to coming back in June with my family! Thank you everyone at the Royalton for the inviting energy/environment ! I will miss the jerk chicken from the jerk hut the most !

We had a good time at this resort. There were the situational stuff, not alot of fun to be had and people to meet as it was COVID time. Not all restaurants open and the buffet on 2 days/week - again, COVID stuff. The great- room and veiw. Fantastic all around! Beach was great, swimming was great amd the pool was great. I imagine it being over crowded when at capacity though. There was the fun staff crew every day and we even participated a few times, definitely some effort there, they were great. There were some very nice, friendly personable staff but so many rude ones. You really get the feeling that you are a nuisance and not wanted. Almost every time we approached a restaurant. The girls at check in, the lobby bar minus a couple of them were not personable at all. Food was pretty good, but not amazing by any means. The buffet had a great selection, so it'd be nice to have that more often, but, COVID. We may consider going back and assume that many things would be on a better level, but, I must say that management should be monitoring and working with the staff. I don't expect to be pampered, but a smile and standard service industry friendliness would go a heck of a long way to improve the vacation. Excursions - look up Rocky Chilonoglo with RCM Tours. The best tour guide we have ever used, funny guy our kids LOVED him and bring him up every time we talk about the trip. En route to our destinations, he made sure we saw the real Jamaica, ate their food and taught us tons, between keeping us laughing. Overall - nice place, good time away.

Natoya from the beach bar is the absolute best! She took amazing care of us through our stay and we'd go back because of the amazing service she provided. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Also, George, one of the beach attendants, creates a fantastic beach vibe, telling us about things unique to Jamaica and just making sure our environment was looking good. We will miss his positivity. Our room was great, the beach was amazing. We're not really pool people, so can't comment on that. On the beach vendors: the second we got there, we started getting offered items (legal or otherwise 😉) by vendors. My husband and I didn't feel fully safe the first couple days, but throughout our stay we realized they're the same vendors every day in a small community just trying to make ends meet. On our last day, we went to shop at their tables by the end of the beach and they were so grateful for the business, plus we got lots of little souvenirs for our kids. TLDR: our feeling unsafe with the vendors was unnecessary - don't give them attention if you want to be left alone. On covid testing: schedule it when you get there and you'll be good. Word of warning: they can be busy and dont have a good system for a line. We were told the nurse would come get us, but people kept cutting in front of us - be smarter than us! On dining overall: with COVID, they rotate between the steakhouse, italian restaurant, a local food place and the buffet. The jerk hut and burger but are also open. Food is ok, having done cruises before, we couldn't help but compare experiences and like cruise food better. There were long wait times too, but not too negative. Other things to know: weekends are when they get busy, during covid times, but even so, we were still able to get our spot at the beach. COVID has made it so they're not too staffed, so things are a bit slow, but wasn't too bad. They check your temp and give you hand sanitizer everywhere, so we felt really safe the whole time other than for other guests who didn't consistently follow mask and distancing guidelines. Highly recommend this place, we're totally going back sometime.
