Had a 2 night break here at Haughley House after having every trip cancelled this year, yes, times have changed and we have to do things a bit differently now, especially when staying in hotels. Jeffrey and Caroline were excellent hosts, no stress, very laid back and a pleasure to stay here, the cooked breakfast was excellent, the bacon and sausage were divine, and I heeded the warning and didn't put the brown sauce on these. The eggs were from there own chickens that we were watching whilst sat on the rear lawn soaking up the sun. The room was a delight, a four poster bed and en-suite, now some people might say here that it was noisy with the floor boards or too much stuff in the room, I personally liked it as it shows more of the owners than a bland modern hotel room, the house is very old which is why we choose it, so the floor boards creaking and the slope, the ill fitting doors are all part of the old house experience. Would we stay again in this Three (four) in a bed winner, YES

Haughley House is a delightful place to stay on so many levels. Jeffrey and Caroline were welcoming and accommodating and have put a lot of effort into the little details that contribute to making a visit both luxurious and comfortable. All the food (we also joined them for one evening meal) was prepared using locally sourced, homemade and home-grown produce of the highest quality, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The room (we stayed in the four poster en suite), house and grounds were all magnificent. In these unfortunate times, it also has to be said that, reassuringly, there were ample covid-19 measures in place to guarantee our mutual protection. On a practical note, Haughley House is perfectly located as a base for exploring the many attractive tourist destinations around Suffolk and we highly recommend it. Thank you Jeffrey and Caroline for providing the perfect setting for a long awaited break in a lovely part of England.

Thank you so much for your glowing review; we are of course delighted that you enjoyed your experience here in spite of all the changes covid 19 has made to the service we offer. We both enjoyed your company and thank you for being such lovely guests. Hoping to have the pleasure of welcoming you back here in the future. Regards Caroline and Jeffrey

This is a gorgeous Mansion house very well located for access but wonderfully quiet and relaxing. All very clean and comfortable and our hosts Jeffrey and Caroline could not be more welcoming and friendly. The food is superb and we were delighted that we chose the dinner option to eat at the house and spend time. Breakfast equally was great and their own produce was excellent. Sadly it was just the one night and we definitely plan to return.

The hosts, like their lovely home, offered luxury and comfort to two American travelers who had just spent a week on a Narrowboat. Each accommodation has its charms of course, but the four poster bed, plush towels and robes, and historic gracious rooms offered us a delightful insight into a pampered way of life. The breakfasts - locally sourced - were yummy and prepared us for our four days of exploring Suffolk. Highest recommendations!
