I have just returned from Playamarina Spa Hotel last week, I was there with a friend and we had been a bit worried due to all the reviews that we had seen. We had no need to worry we got a ground floor room with large patio area and just a few feet from the pool. They have outside Jacuzzi...

My friend and I have just returned from a holiday in the Playamarina Spa Hotel in Isla Canela. The hotel is spotless in every area and the staff are very attentive and polite. Our room was on the ground floor which meant we had a huge patio area right next to the pool. It was amazing! Having read some of...

We stayed here for a week on a walking holiday. The hotel is very comfortable: spacious rooms and a nice big bathroom. The fridge took a while to get cold, but was fine after that. Aircon was good, very quiet (it was unseasonably hot). Minor complaint - no drawers! The pool area was clean and well maintained, with lots of...

We spent 7 nights here as part of a walking holiday travelling out by coach each day.We stayed mid may which is very early in the season so the hotel was less than 1/4 full.hotels round about were similar and many of the holiday apartments were similarly deserted. This meant that there was acres of very clean beach to enjoy and...

We didn't know what to expect going to Isla Canela. The Isla Canela area was very quiet as we went in April. We loved our hotel. It was immaculately clean and the food was very good. It took a day or two to work out where the food was, especially finding the hot plates in a hot cupboard under the...

Really nice hotel with comfortable rooms and a lovely balcony. The only downfall is that there are no drawers in the room to put anything in so it was difficult to keep tidy. The only other failing in the room was the fridge. It worked but never got cold. We reported it several times to the reception but to no avail....
