This was my second time in this hostel. People there are really nice, there is a big, equipped kitchen, nice garden and some common rooms as well. We booked 2 places in a dorm, which is situated in the attic, but they have nice rooms with beds as well. I can recommend this place both for a group and pairs/single person, everyone will find it great. And it is situated only a few steps from the Holy Trinity Square and Old castle!

If you want to see a lot and save money for tourist sights or food and still spend the night decently, this is the right choice for you! This hostel is clean, next to the St. Catharine´s Church which is close to the main square. And- hostel is on the castle hill right underneath the Old castle! It is a fairytale. You can have your breakfast and coffee prepared in the little kitchenette which is available for all the guests and eat it outside right in the garden belonging to hostel. Rooms are cozy and serve the main purpose- stay for the night and enjoy Banska Stiavnica. You can choose between rooms with bathroom or rooms without where you can use a communal bathroom. Put the backpack into your room and go explore the city and its beautiful streets!

I was curious about this hostel. It is historical building which came through renovation. I stayed in a room on top floor with 4 beds and own bathroom for 12e pre person. Room was nice and clean. It was quiet during night until 7am. I didnt want to pay extra for parking and hostel own 2 parking spaces on the street. Receptionist gave me permit card for free. I didnt have a problem to park there during weekend.

I was alone in room for three people, which was great. I have stayed for two nights. Bathrooms were shared and always clean. Hostel looks from the outside a bit seedy, but from the inside it is reconstructed and very nice. Staff was friendly. Only pitty was that the hostel was full of families with infants and rooms were having thin walls, so I was awake when infants were awake. and that was often. So this is why sleep quality is lower. Otherwise, the location is perfect, just meters from mountain and from the city center on the other side. Room was clean. Price was very reasonable.

We stayed in the hostel for 1 night last summer. We didn't spend a lot of time inside, but found everything ok. The room was quite comfortable, toilets and bathroom were clean. There's a pretty private space in the yard (which we didn't use either :)) There was a free computer with internet connection in the lobby.
