Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ok place to stay, in the middle of city. Parking s not included in price. Friendly staff on reception. We were accommodated in big appartments 40 square meeters. Big bathroom with unconfortable toilet with limited soace for foots. Not really cheap but okay.

Our tour group of 22 stayed here for one night because it was the one hotel that could accommodate that number of people. The hotel is very basic, the rooms spartan, with two twin beds, but it met our needs. My spouse and I stayed in room #30, which is located on the 3rd floor. Unfortunately, the elevator was broken during our visit, and we had to climb all those flights of steps. The room was large, and featured three windows that looked out upon the New Castle, which was a lovely view. The bathroom was small with a tub shower, and a simple sink that offered no space for toiletries. The breakfast buffet left much to be desired, featuring icky fried eggs, some cheese sausage and pastries. It definitely was nothing to write home about. But as I stated, it met our needs for one night.

This was my second stay at this "4*hotel" Both times disappointment and definitely next time will find something different. The place is maintained, however, it does need a full refurbishment.Rooms are old, equipment is old... On top of that, the noise coming from the corridor and neighboring rooms is incredible... It is mad when you are awake from 7am due to the noise around you... Breakfast very poor for 4*hotel. The only highlight is a hard-working staff that is always helpful with a smiley on.

The rooms are clean, normal, like an average hotel room. But the difference was - the panorama of the city in december! I liked it very much. Breakfast was perfect and plentiful. Parking is not so complicated - next to the hotel.

The location is great, in the centre, very close to the main square and all nice cafes and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The interior is old, needs a serious restoration. Rooms are spacious with big bed and sitting area, big windows, quiet. The mattress was very soft and uncomfortable. The bathroom was old and sad with very noisy ventilator. The breakfast was a big disappointment. We tried to eat something but then left and ate in the cafe on the main street. The coffee was very bitter and the smell was not pleasant. Fruit were tired and not tasty. They have only few parking places in front of the hotel. If it´s full they have another one in opposite building. They give you a card to enter it.

Although this is a 3* hotel, there was no blow drier in a premium hotel room and whenever someone in a room above us flushed the toilet, you could literally hear the water flow through the pipes. Apart from this, everything you can expect from such a hotel.

I found the staff a little surly. I asked to use the hot tub which they advertise and was told that it had to be reserved and that there was a fee. After I acted a little peeved they relented and let me use it. It was lukewarm. We were kept awake by partiers from an adjacent building. Rooms otherwise nice. Banska S is a great place to visit.

Stayed here for 1 night. The room is very spacious with a large bedroom and bathroom. There is a small gravel car park but we parked our motorbike on the pathway leading to the hotel and secured it to a pole. The hotel is in city centre. The staff spoke good English and breakfast was good too with a selection of hot and cold food. The hotel has a restaurant which is behind on a side road. A nice hotel which I'd recommend and it only cost about £35 for b&b

First of all - no, this hotel should not have 4-stars ranking. There were some room equipment missing, as hair draier for example. The apartement room was big, but interior was a little bit old and had some "used by years" feeling. The elevator operates from 0 to the 3rd floor, if you have your room on the 4th floor, you must pick up your baggage and go upstairs. The worst are beds with very uncomfortable mattress. But the hotel staff is really very nice and helpfull, the room was very clean and with beautiful panorama view. Breakfast are ok, you have different kinds of food. The hotel is great located and has private parking place.
