My notes are related to the campervan area only. I am taking a good responsibility to recommend this place with so many negative reviews. However, if you are willing to accept a few shortcomings, this place may be for you. The location is simply fantastic. The camper parking area is located right on the beach. Within 5 minutes walking, you have access to several other coves. So, no matter what is the wind direction, you can always find a good swimming beach. Assuming you are traveling with a campervan, you will be given power and water directly on the area. Quite outdates toilet facilities are very close by. Management is very friendly but again, facilities are limited. What are the shortcomings to expect so you may enjoy this place? • No shade at all • Terrible access road, 800mt • Unmarked parking / camping area • Basic facilities • Paid warm showers but you can use the cold ones for free (which are actually not cold at all) • No supermarket • Very strong winds, up to 60kmh so forget about using a tent. In my 4 days, 2 days were very windy and 2 relatively calm • Beaches are part of a national park and they are not regularly cleaned. Expect a lot of flotsam and jetsam. I paid 19 euros per day, campervan with 2 people inclusive of electricity and water. A very good bargain indeed.…
I visited Camping Abbatoggia this year in July. I spent there 10 wonderful days. I rented together with 3 friends a mobile house just close to the sea where the view was fantastic. Mobile houses are suited for 4 people, they offer enoght space, nice furnished well maintained and clean. The camping offers for accommmodation also tents or campers areas, but we preferred the comfort of a mobile house. There are not so many mobile houses, so you have to rezerve it some time before. Camping Abbatoggia is a quiet place, not fancy and perfect for the ones in love with the pure nature. Suitable place for the ones who practice sea sports. The view is so beautiful from every corner that you never get tired of it. You can choose between the beaches with access from the camping or some others very close, where you can walk. These are virgin beaches where the water is incredible. Camping Abbatoggia promotes the natural oasis where it's located, the personal is friendly and ready to help or to recommend what other things you can admire on the island. There is a transportation service to Maddalena downtown or to Caprera island, offered by the stuff. In the camping restaurant there is not a diversity of food choices, but pizza is great. If you need internet connection, it is only available near the reception. There is a parking area as well. It was a pleasure to visit Maddalena and Camping Abbatoggia, and hope to go back soon to the admire again the beauty of the nature and the turquoise of the Mediterranean sea.…
The campus is located in a quiet area, very good place for families, couples, friends. The accommodation is in a static caravan just on beach and has an awesome view. The water has a fantastic blue color in that area. The rooms are clean. The staff is very friendly and willing to help and they speak mainly Italian, Spanish and a bit of English. There is no public transportation from Camping Abbatoggia to La Maddalena, but the camping stuff can take you there several times per day. For internet connection you should go at the Camping reception. This place is well suited for those who love virgin nature and non commercial beaches.
We stayed at Camping Abbatoggia for one nights with 2 tents ande one little camper van. The first camping area you see when you arrive has a huge wind break fence, a lot of old caravans on one side and you don't see the sea. The other camping area just over the hill is a large grassy field running down to the sea. Much better although there was some work going on at the top of the field while we were there. The toilet block is in need of improvement. It is OK . We got the impression that the owners were at an early stage of improving the site. our stay and night in the good area was fine and the women who seems to maintain the camping is very lovely and want to make it better for the next year. Lovely place with lovely welcome for us ( 5 peoples with kayaks around the island of Sardaigne).…
We stayed at Camping Abbatoggia for two nights in our small camper van. There are two camping areas. One that you see when you arrive. It has a huge wind break fence, a lot of old caravans on one side and, bizarrely, a large brand new plastic childrens' play tower outside the restaurant. The other camping area just over the hill is a large grassy field running down to the sea. Much better although there was some work going on at the top of the field while we were there. The toilet block is in need of improvement. It is OK but a bit scruffy. We got the impression that the owners were at an early stage of improving the site. Our first night in the poor camping area was less pleasant, the second night in the good area was fine.
