Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in the Castle Arms as we were going to a wedding in Castle Durrow nearby and it is a perfect location for same as short walk up the drive. We arrived down at 12.30, got a warm welcome, and room was ready which was great as we needed to change for the 2pm wedding. Great size room with double and single bed and lots of room to walk around. Breakfast the following morning was very nice, good choice, and plenty of food. We had a nice chat with the staff before we left.

From start to finish I found this hotel to be of great help to me and breakfast was beautiful pipping hot . Monica was very helpful and obliging and I would recommend this hotel to anyone attending a wedding in Durrow castle just a short walk down the driveway.

My husband an I decided to visit the castle arms for an evening meal as we have recently moved to the area, staff seemed pleasant enough but very indifferent,we took a seat in a booth and noticed that the ground was sloppy under foot due to food spillage, and the seat was wet with some thick liquid,we brought this to the attention of the waitress who said that she would clean it..and never did,it was brought to her attention two more times and the waitress ignored us..the restaurant was uncomfortably hot with no ventilation and another waiter that served us was literally dripping perspiration..not a nice experience at all.

My husband and I stopped here because we were staying a few miles away. It was a Wednesday so the place wasn't too busy. They had the races on the TV and the bartender served our drinks quickly. We ordered the fish and chips which were pretty good. Overall, the place was good and it was a cool place to stop.

We stayed in the " Castle Arms Hotel " in Durrow for one night on 11th of May , or friends made the booking and we had no idea what it was going to be like, it was a surprise for us and our friends,we were all attending a wedding in " Durrow Castle " which is just a short walk away. When we arrive at the " Castle Arms" we were greeted as if we were family returning home . The room we were in was large ,clean and very pleasant, it was street facing, but was very quiet. We arrived with an hour to spare to attend the wedding, but or host Mr Murphy took the time to explain the in's and outs of the hotel ,so we could come and go as we pleased. The next morning he was there to greet us when we came down for breakfast and what a breakfast, Irish breakfasts that were fit for a king.

This hotel is in a central location in the small and attractive village of Durrow. We stayed just one night and were very pleased overall. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and overall, our stay was very good value for money.

We stayed at the Castle Arms hotel for 4 nights and couldn't be happier with the accommodation and service we received. Joseph is the wonderful, super friendly owner who shared his local knowledge and favourite spots with us and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying at the Castle Arms, you won't be disappointed!
