We stayed at the Castle Arms hotel for 4 nights and couldn't be happier with the accommodation and service we received. Joseph is the wonderful, super friendly owner who shared his local knowledge and favourite spots with us and always made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying at the Castle Arms, you won't be disappointed!

It was not as if the Hotel did not know we were going to be having breakfast but we had given them a time also. I ordered a full Irish for myself and I was given 2 sausages, 2 pieces of Bacon, 1 runny Egg after asking for a hard Egg, 1 Tomato halved, 2 Slices of Toast, Warm Coffee. I ordered another full Irish for my Brother, He received, 3 Sausages, 3 pieces of Bacon, 2 Eggs, 1 Tomato Halved, 2 Slices of Toast,A pot of Tea, along with..... 1 Hash Brown, Mushrooms, Beans. Both of these cost €9 each. This was a common thing with our group this morning. Service was bad also, one minute there was 3 girls behind the counter, the next minute it was vacant. ?? One of our group asked for beans and was given a glare of unwillingness but he did get the Beans. The unanimous feeling with

Great Sunday dinner. Walked straight in to the Bain Marie and had the choice of roast beef, lamb or Turkey and Ham, all with potatoes and vegetables all ready to go straight away, no waiting. For only 12 euro it was delicious and completely hit the spot. Couldn't asked for me, I will definitely be back.

Have eaten at the carvery buffet a number of times but this was the first time to visit on a Sunday. Sunday lunch (2pm) with the family after a long walk with the boys. The food was fabulous, this is not fine dining but Irish dinner at its best. Tables were cleared quickly, no queue for food, fresh well cooked and plenty of it and quite reasonable. The place was busy some casually dressed and some well dressed for the occasion. I have visited during the week and the food is equally as nice and nutritious however certain clientel (farming folk) bring a certain farm smell with them but the dining room is plenty big with a range of seating to suit everyone. Parking right outside. Tick tick and tick (all my boxes).

First of all let me say , the staff are very friendly, the food is great , the rooms are clean, comfortable , warm , with nice attention to detail. Please be aware ,it is an old building, so the soundproofing is not up to a modern hotel standard. You can clearly hear talking in the next room and footsteps overhead. If that bothers you , bring your earplugs. This is mainly the reason for the 3 stars. We were in room 23. Ps, food prices were very reasonable and value for money. We would stay here again but would bring earplugs.
