When we arrived, the guy at the front desk barely recognized our arrival. It appeared we were disturbing him. We saw him the next morning and he spent his entire morning looking at his computer, lloking annoyed every time someone wanted to check in or check out. All the floors are ceramic tiles, the hallways and the rooms. The curtain...

The hotel is well located and relatively comfortable. Breakfast could be much better though. The hotel was being refurbished whilst we were there and on our way out, both my wife and I ended up with fresh white paint stains on our jackets thanks to a freshly painted swinging front door without any sign whatsoever.

Talk about Faulty Towers and it would leave this place far far behind. This hotel needs to close and stay closed. This was the second last nights accommodation of the Wilderness Tour. The rains had arrived and if you stood still long enough you would be blown down the street I tell you this because the rain was entering the...

I'm going to keep this brief and to the point, because our experience was so bad! I've decided to make an outline of our negative experience: 1)Discrimination- my buddy and I went in initially to book the room for our family. The person working blatantly lied to us and said there were no rooms available. We knew this to be...

Traveled with our infant baby and another two couples. First the grumpy front desk guy told us they had no rooms for us just based on our appearance (we wore black hoodies cause we are in the band in la and we wore our bands hoodies that day). They actually said we were thugs. Then we sent our wives in...

I will be factual based: The person responsible had to attend an "emergency" and therefore left a Russian friend who barely spoke English and only read/wrote in Cyrillic characters and consequently was not able to understand our written reservation details. This person happened to be at the front desk the next morning as well. The front desk happens to be...

I have to agree with some of the more recent, fairly negative reviews based on our recent stay. A somewhat strange hotel with rooms across the street on the second floor in an unattractive office building. Some views of the mountain or harbor, though, depending on the location. That said, though, the room was very clean, especially the bathroom, and...

Don't let the outside of this hotel put you off. It looks pretty drab. Even the lobby is a bit arghhhhh - but once you get to your room - it all gets much better. Largest room we stayed in during a 12 day "drive the Ring Road" trip. Bathroom was pretty big and even provided a huge squeegee for...

After a long drive from Akureyri, we chose to stay in Olafsvik, a cozy fishing town by the harbour as the base to explore Snaefellsness peninsula, including the world known Snaefells glacier. We picked this hotel because of its midway location and fair price. Our studio apartment in the annex building across was clean, spacious and equipped with kitchen, refrigerator,...

We were here during our trip through Iceland. Although we were a little shocked when we saw the building from the outside, we were kindly surprised by the rooms. They are pretty big, with a kitchen, toaster, coffeemaker and microwave. Also dish and glasses (incl. wine glasses). Quite nice for making a small dinner by yourself! Breakfast was ok. Nothing...
