While a bit pricey, the hotel was located adjacent to the Skaftafell National Park and it had a glacier within walking distance behind the hotel (and to view pretty much by yourself)! Nice accommodations and the breakfast, included, was a bit more robust than others.

Really really expensive for a dated old hotel. I understand accommodation is expensive in Iceland but at least you get value for money in other hotels I stayed in. Quite disappointed. Location is good if you want to be near skaftafell national park

We stayed here 2 nights as it was close to most of the attractions we were visiting on our photography tour. It is a fairly basic but clean hotel. My room was perfectly adequate though small. Breakfast was included and had a decent choice. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights and the arctic char was delicious, not the...

We stayed for 1 night after seeing the ice caves on Vatnajökull. There aren't many hotels in this area but there are many attractions so it's important to book in advance. There is a nice bar on the second floor where you can spend some time while waiting for the northern light to shown. Dinner was great. Throughout our trip...

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Very cozy. Excellente rooms. All services worked 100%. All staff very friendly. Good location if you are travelling around south Iceland. It's restaurant is very good also. It's quite expensive (dinner for 2 for around 140 dollares), but actually everything is expensive on Iceland.

High prices with standard level. The room was ok and also the shower. Nice breakfast. We also had dinner and the food was ok. The location very good, close to the national park. In overall a good hotel but quite expensive in comparison with all the other accommodations we've been through Iceland.

The rooms are so small, TINY, you can barely get a suitcase in the room and I was just one person! Breakfast very basic. I stayed in the annex which is just a long line of rooms, all very tiny. The told us they didn't have any more rooms in the main hotel. When one of our small group (a...

We booked a night here during a self-driving tour of the south coast of Iceland. If you're driving from Reykjavik, it's a good stopping point if you plan to continue on. We stopped at Seljalandsfoss and hiked back to the hidden waterfall. Then we stopped at Skogafoss, hiking up the 40+ flights of stairs for a view from the top....

The hotel is decent with clean rooms, staffs were polite and friendly. Food at the restaurant is okay. The only problem we had is the loud noises from big groups of students during night. Apart from that, all is fine
