Travellers' Choice
Discover Eshott Hall for an indulgent stay in our stunning English country house tucked away in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside. Nestled in the quiet village of Eshott, in the heart of rural Northumberland and surrounded by its own sprawling private estate, you’ll find Eshott Hall. The setting could hardly be lovelier, enveloped by acres of ancient woodland, rolling lawns and a walled kitchen garden. The archetypal grand manor house, with a double rosette award-winning restaurant but with the atmosphere being friendly home-from-home. With 17 bedrooms and suites and two holiday cottages available to book, it's the perfect place to get away from it all and forget about the outside world. There's little wonder that Eshott Hall features in The Telegraph’s guide to the best UK wedding venues.

We stayed 3 nights at Eshott and felt at ease and were able to relax throughout our stay. Our room was in the lodge and was beautifully presented. Breakfast and dinner were delicious with a good choice. The location was great for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast and countryside, including Bamborough, Chillingham Castle, Wallington Hall and Seahouses.

We had the most amazing wedding day at Eshott Hall, from start to finish everything was perfect. Each and every member of staff were amazing as was the manager Mariza. There are no words to describe how beautiful and elegant Eshott hall is, it is truly a magical place. The food on our day was out of this world and the chili glazed sausages we had as part of our canapés were like little mouthfuls of heaven. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not easy and there were many moments where I had wobbles and doubts and plenty of tears and gin, but Hannah helped us through all of these wobbles with her wealth of knowledge and advise. Mariza thank you for the chats and the lovely words you truly are a beautiful person. To all of the staff at Eshott yous helped create the best day

Made a last minute booking as cancelled previous hotel and so glad we did. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The room didn’t disappoint and was relaxing and had everything needed with tasteful decor. The evening meal was delicious, as was breakfast the next day. Staff are friendly and helpful. It was a shame to leave.

We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were Covid measures in place but it was a minor inconvenience. Good location between A1 and the coast. Staff and service excellent and we would have no hesitation in recommending.
