Great three night stay in lovely hotel. Booked a room in annexe but were actually in a lovely room in the house itself. Our one evening meal was very good and off the all day menu reasonably priced. Breakfast was fine but the choice a bit limited. Staff friendly.

We went to Northumberland for a weekend and as this place had good reviews we thought it would be a good treat. We had booked the cottages, however on turning up at reception, we very told that there was a private function and we could not uese the Hotel facilities at all!! We were given the keys and quickly ushered...

This hotel could be amazing but isn't. The building and location are lovely, the staff are friendly and obviously much thought and care went into the refurbishment however it is let down by lack of service and attention to detail. Doing our recent two night stay, the hotel tried to insist that we had dinner at 6/6.30 because they had...

Stayed the night on the way home from Scotland last week, after spending a week in some fantastic hotels. Arrived at this beautiful hotel and were really looking forward to our stay. However, after waiting around for anyone to attend to us at reception, we were informed that we weren't booked in the hotel but the nearby house (a 5...

One of the nicest hotels we have stayed in through Secret Escapes. Friendly reception and beautiful superior room (peacock). Room extremely well appointed with good attention to detail. The bath/shower room was large and well equipped with good class toiletries. Breakfast and Dinner thoroughly deserve AA two rosette classification for quality of food and service. Scenery and grounds amazing. A...

Nige & Michelle Easter Wedding 2017 What can we say we had the most amazing weekend and still on a high and far exceeded our dreams and expectations. We had searched many locations all over the UK and could not find what we were looking for. We felt they were either very tired or impersonal or just didn’t fit with...

Only stayed one night but we thoughtly enjoyed our stay, the rooms were spacious and individually decorated, with a large bathroom with walk in shower and a very large bath. Good refreshment tray and a great comfortable quiet nights sleep. The cooked breakfast was excellent with a small continental selection, great start to the day. Staff were very professional and...

Eshott Hall as all the other reviewers have said is a beautiful location and whilst I didn't see a red squirrel whilst we were there the anticipation that we might due to the signs was great, lots of peace and quiet despite being so easy and close to the A1. We were running late and it was a rush to...
