We really loved our stay at the cabins. The location is just beautiful. The cabins sit at the foot of the mountains with a field of sheep in the front and a lovely sod-roof church to the side. It's right off of the ring road and a great stopping point between glacier activities in Skatafell and a visit to the... More

What an amazing place!!! I thought staying here was going to be roughing it a little, I wish I had known better. It was surprisingly spacious and warm. It had WiFi, a nice deck, and a perfect kitchenette. Beautifully made, perfect location. The glaciers in one direction, the lagoon in the other. Your neighbors are sheep, and breathtaking mountains are... More

We just stayed one night but could have easily stayed more - the cabin was really comfortable (spacious for two people, would be cosy for four people). The cabins have been designed really well (and they look so cute!!) - the bathroom was small but very modern and clean, the kitchenette has everything you need for simple meals (including a... More

This cabin is situated in a small farming community that is absolutely stunning and unique. There is a small church that is about 20 steps away with old graves . We also hiked to a waterfall on the edge of the village. There is pasture behind the cabin and we could see mom and baby lambs everywhere. (May is when... More

Stayed here for three nights in June and loved it. The cabins are short drive from Skaftafell as well as Jokulsarlon. The cabin was perfect was two people, with enough space and very clean shower room and kitchen area. Only thing that could have improved it would be thicker curtains on windows as daylight nearly 24hrs at that time of... More

This is a gem of a place. Contrary to other reviewers we fit two adults and two large teens comfortably. You don't stay inside much. We slept there, made a few meals, played cards (sorry, somehow they got mixed into our luggage by accident) and really enjoyed the place. The wifi was fine. It is cleverly designed. We checked in... We were three people (2 adults and 1 teenager) and the cabin suited us perfectly. The location was perfect for an early morning trip to visit the Jokulsarlon Glacier lagoon. The little kitchen was fine for preparing a simple supper.

Perfect location for our trip across SE Iceland. Small and efficient cabins with a good shower. One drawback was the lack of light blocking shades. I had an eye cover, but my husband and 6 year old didn't. The 3:30 am sunrise was not welcome! Also recommend a sleeping bag as the linens were quite expensive for 3 people. (About... More

We stayed there just this past June, 2016 with our 2 kids, 9 and 7 years old. We rented bedding, as we traveled light. The blankets and sheets were super clean and new. The cabins have shower and small kitchenette. There is a hotel with the restaurant nearby, so we did not cook. The owner lives next door, so if... More

Nónhamar is located in a small village called Hof, some 20 kilometers southeast of Skaftafell National Park. They are a set of cozy cabins at Hof in the Öræfi district. This is a sleeping bag accommodation but bedding can be provided for a reasonable fee. We travelled with kids, 9 and 7 years old. We rented bedding and towels (because... More
