Enjoy your stay in Bonifacio!
You can walk down to the Marina but it’s a good hike up hill back to your hotel. Can be tiresome at times especially in the heat. Rooms with balcony and views is the way to go. Staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended.
Situated on top of the cliff, to the west of haute ville, this hotel offers great value with clean rooms and a fabulous view over the strait twds Sardinia. Service is friendly and very helpful, David in the reception gave skillful and helpful advice with respect to finding restaurants and beaches and even helped us get a room in a nearby hotel when we wanted to stay longer than planned and all the rooms were taken in Santateresa. Highly recommended.
Excellent ocean views from the junior suite with balcony. Very competent and friendly staff. Makes you feel like a long -term lodger. Unique breakfast with many hand picked Corsican artisanal foodstuffs. We also enjoyed Bonifacio-grown red wine by the glass at the bar before dinner each evening. La directrice nicely designed the lobby decor with bone fide art sculptures. This hotel is at the crest of the seaside cliff, so wind will be a gift from Mother Nature. It is part of the experience to watch the whitecaps. The rooms and the entire hotel are very, very clean. There is a commitment to quality and hygiene here. One piece of advice--spend a little more for the ocean facing rooms and ask the staff for beach recommendations based on weather and traffic on a given day. This is a highly well-managed hotel and I cannot say enough about the high quality of the staff. Also easy walk to the town for evening restaurants.…
We decided to split our stay between Olmeto and Bonifacio to cut down on driving distances, and be able to see more of southern Corsica. This time we were able to visit Ajaccio, and Porto Vecchio which were at opposite sides of the island. We chose Hotel Santateresa and were very pleased with our choice. The room overlooked the parking, but with a sea view. We had a refrigerator, safe and comfortable beds, which to me in France is important. The breakfasts were copious and tasty. Parking is no problem. The location is up a steep winding road, but since it is located at the top, the view is great. You can walk to the port through old winding streets; however, there are sets of steep stairs at intervals to shorten distances. We were more than happy to stay here and enjoy their hospitality. There is someone on staff 24hr a day. We hope to return soon.…
We found ourselves driving up steep narrow roads through the old town in the rain and came across this lovely hotel on top of the cliffs! The views are amazing and there are fantastic walks all around the area. Also, the old town is totally accessible from here, very convenient in fact for dinner in the evening. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as we preferred to go into the lovely winding old streets but on Sunday am it was quite hard even to find coffee. The room was very nice, decorated tastefully as is the whole place. Quite contemporary but pleasant and the bathroom had a nice rain shower. For the standard and location of the hotel I thought it was very reasonably priced. Bonifacio is known to be very windy and it is especially so here at the hotel, the wind drops very quickly as you descend into the town. This whole area is good for walkers, certainly not for anyone with mobility issues. Hotel has large free parking lot which is definitely a plus.…
We liked the beautiful views in every direction, free parking, very helpful and welcoming staff, and nice modern room. Breakfast was very complete and lots of protein was offered. I would choose this hotel again if we returned.
We stayed 2 nights here with our tour group. A quite modern hotel in a great position. A short walk to the old town of Bonifacio. Definitely a better place to be based when staying in Bonifacio - near the medieval town rather than down by the harbour. The room we had was quite small but was comfortable enough. The breakfast was very basic and the 2 hotel staff on duty were quite hostile, as if we were a nuisance. Cannot comment on price, as it was part of our tour package.
A great location with great views over the water. Room was alittle small, but had everything one needed including a small balcony. Was very clean , good breakfast and the staff was very helpful and could speak English.
Spectacular hotel in Bonifacio. The location is breath taking, service was impeccable and the amenities were great. Easy walk into the medieval city. Highly recommended. Free parking at the hotel. Staff made great recommendations. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are many within easy walking distance.
Great hotel with a brilliant view across the strait between Corsica and Sardinia. Sunset is stunning. Pleasant short walk to centre of the town Bonifacio. Our balcony room had air conditioning, clean, TV and very nice. Reception and all staff we met were superb.
