We had booked this accommodation for several nights and made a deposit of 270Euro. When we got there, we realized that there was no air conditioning. Ms. Maestracci therefore encouraged us to change accommodation by offering to reimburse our deposit, which we accepted. After numerous requests, Ms. Maestracci over a year now she keeps telling us that she will reimburse us, which she still hasn't done. During these discussions, she turned out to be very unpleasant and particularly dishonest. We do not recommend this accommodation.…
...And a place to please your eyes too. Me and my boyfriend stayed there for 5 nights in early August 2014 and it was amazing and unforgettable. The enchanting place with clean rooms let us spent peaceful nights surrounded by nature, far from noises and traffic of Bonifacio. The breakfast served in the garden in the morning was more than good and pleasant for its genuininity and freshness: homemade cakes and jellies, fresh milk, butter and juices, the light of the sun touching us through the leaves of old, wonderful fruit trees... The advices of Fabienne were incredible: she helped us every morning to choose the best beach according to the daily direction of the wind. At last, what to say about the enchanting stone pool in the garden, where to have a bath at sunset time and than an aperitif on its side, while the hanging white scented sheets are dancing in the wind just next to you. Looking forward to get back there again! Veronica and Filippo, Italy.…
although the location has potential - lovely stretch of olive trees at the rear of the property for eg, must stretch back generations - overall this was a fairly disappointing experience for us. The website markets the owner of the property as helpful & knowledgeable on the subject of corsican cuisine & the surrounding area but the service we received & the breakfast (worst encountered in Corsica/Sicily - stale bread, milk that made my wife sick..) were extremely poor. The host was inattentive and absent for the most part, leaving breakfast duties etc to her mother - who, although she tried, seemed to regard our presence as a mild intrusion. Native French speakers may fare better.
