We had an excellent stay in bonifacio at hotel Poisson Rouge. First, I like getting a note from the hotel upon booking indicating check in time, and what to expect. Very easy to understand. Check In was easy and as expected. Hotel grounds were very well kept. Hotel room was very clean, quiet and spacious. Breakfast was great. Valentina suggested restaurants for us and was so welcoming and easy to work with. I would recommend staying here for a long or short term stay any time in bonifacio.

We had three nights at Poisson Rouge and it was a lovely start to our stay in Corsica. It is a bit difficult to find at first but once you have it is very conviently placed to explore Bonifacio and the surrounding area. The room was clean with a lovely outdoor terrace. Breakfasts were good - the usual, bread, jams, cheese etc. The pool area was lovely. We opted for half board and enjoyed dinner there. It is served every night at 20:30. Valentina’s father is a fisherman and she cooks delicious dinners. The prawns in particular were delicious! Don’t forget to bring towels for the pool as they aren’t provided in the room. Overall a very pleasing stay.

A wonderful place to stay! Spacious rooms, lucious garden and a nice (but cold) pool. Valentina with her enchanting smile gives the best advice for restaurants with good food in Bonifacio and its surroundings. However, it is always possible to have a delicious dinner in the restaurant of the hote upon reservationl.

A pleasant welcome taken to our suite by Valentina very friendly. Found the suite to be decor the sixties style. A.C unit mounted the living area . Lovely garden, clean swimming pool but cold due to heated by the sun ,more of a cool off pool. Very little shade. Evening meal excellent ,set time to eat 8.00 pm Staff very helpful , friendly and efficient . Breakfast typical continental downside no effort to stop the wasp "eating the confitures" Worth a stay book Dinner ,Bed and Breakfast . A little bit of Italy in France.

Is there better value for money anywhere on Corsica? I doubt it very much. Valentina is the perfect host & she seems to have thought of everything to ensure that her guests enjoy their stay. I endorse the recent reviews & we will definately return.

We spent 3 days at this lovely place. The rooms and surroundings are absolutely perfect! The best surprice was dinner! We had 3 courses every night prepared by Valentina and her father, Angelo. Fantastic food, vegetables from their own garden, easy, but really tasteful! We spent 2 weeks in Sardinia and Corsica, and this was our best meals. We will certanly come back only for the food experience.

We were really looking forward to our three days in Bonifacio, and I knew that stopping at Poisson Rouge was going to be a special part of our journey. When we arrived we were greeted very warmly by Valentina and taken to our room. It was a spacious room, very clean and with a little courtyard out the front. The shower was wonderful, with plenty of hot water. We took the half board option, where we also had dinner each evening. For us this was perfect, as we had the most amazing dinners each night prepared by Valentina and her father, Angelo. Breakfast were also plentiful and delicious. It really was excellent value. We loved it here and will most definitely come back here again on our next trip to Corsica. Thank you so much Valentina and Angelo and Corrine for looking after us!

My wife and I spent a week at Poisson Rouge and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms are surrounded by a very nice garden with beautiful flowers and plants, and are spacious and elegant. They are equipped with all modern facilities, and are next to an inviting swimming pool. Each room has a private patio and you could walk around the property in the original Corsican bush. What makes this place really special is the kindness and professionalism of the management: the owner, Ms Valentina, with the help of her parents, Angelo and Donatella. They are efficient, and always glad to assist. Angelo and Donatella are in charge for the breakfast, which includes home made jam, fresh baked croissant, pancakes. And the dinner, which is optional, but not to be missed, is prepared with much creativity!

we stayed in Valentina's bed and breakfast for one night during our corsican trip stop over in Bonifacio. we had a very warm welcome and some special attention for our child from her in the morning for breakfast plus some good advice for some restaurants and outings in the area. lots of books on Corsica plus the famous "enquete corse" comic; do not know if it exists in English, maybe a good addition if it does; in the same vein another good addition could be "Asterix in Corsica" which does exist in English version. the stay was short but we could imagine how nice would be a longer family stay in the residence with the nice pool and club house.
