Outstanding stay at Eco treat In cerra punta. Upon late arrival (9pm) we were greeted and made to feel at home immediately. We were offered dinner at their restaurant but we had brought our own food to cook and the basics of everything we needed were in the room. Beautiful location, quiet with sounds birds and the nearby river rushing by. Enjoyed wine and our dinner outside by the fire. And followed by a big tasty breakfast in the morning provided by the hosts. Fresh jam and French press coffee. Thank you for having us!!

High in the virgin cloud forest of Panama, Ecotreat is a hidden gem. Beautifully furnished and appointed cabins and apartments that reminded us of European country ski chalets. Wood fired furnaces to take the chill off the rainy nights, fully equipped kitchen, luxe two person garden tub, fantastically comfortable king bed with down comforter--and to top it off, the staff delivered fully prepared a delicious fresh mountain trout dinner with wine to us, and followed this the following morning with omelettes, fresh fruit and hot coffee. And, this is not to be taken for granted, because in order to get to the cabin, one has to take a serious 4x4 vehicle on a half hour trek up into the jungle. Trails, with a guide, invited us to explore the magnificent primeval forest. It was a fabulous, romantic, luxurious, out-of-the-box getaway and we will certainly return!

We booked the hotel in advance and the reservation was already confirmed by the owner. They even wrote us already, that the price on booking.com was not correct. A little after that, they cancled on us. Bad service!
