This place is on the windy side of the island so it is cooler and less mosquitos. You can hear the waves all night, there is a fan in the room but I just left the windows open (the electricity isn't known for being that reliable especially on this side of the island). There is no wifi, but who needs...

Clean cabins, very basic with two beds, water basin, a shower, and a toilet. On the windward side of the island. So breezes each night made for wonderful sleeping. Food very good and VERY inexpensive. Andrew, the manager, will make you feel very welcome. His wife is the head cook. Remember there is no electricity until about 6 pm and...

I went by myself. I am glad I chose the windy side of the island because it was HOT. The staff, including Andrew and many others with names I can't remember were great. I booked two nights online to ensure I'd have a place, then extended and got a better price. What to expect: Yes it is basic and the...

OK it is cheap, but the room and the linens were dirty, (the fact that it is a cabana on a beach does not justify how dirty it was). And you could hear your neighbour coughing, because the wall between the rooms was very very thin. The staff of the restaurant (that closes very early) is friendly though. If you...

The staff is unpleasant, the beach on the other side of the island is nicer even tho it's more busy. and the food is absolutely disgusting !! For the same price, go to the cabanas 10 m further. Rooms are smelly and noisy.

This hostel was fine. One the beach and very basic. However the family who runs it owns a small dog named Bongo. We stayed there for 5 nights and the poor dog was never let off his leash which was attached to the porch. Day and night this dog was attached to a 5 foot leash. I would NOT recommend...

This place has a great rasta vibe with the colorful beach cabanas. Inexpensive stay and a big hang out spot in the center where you can drink beers with your new friends looking out to the turquoise water. The locals who run Cool Spot are some of the kindest people I've met in Nicaragua. Get to know Andrew and June,...

From the moment we stepped on little corn we were greeted by our guide, Marlon, cool dude and the friendliest guy on the island. Our bags were picked up and we were led to our spot. Quite a bit of a walk but the location is perfect! The casitas are right on the beach and you wake up to crystal...

we've spend 5 days at grace's but wished we could've extended our stay. the rooms are basic but clean and airy, and the food is simply excellent, especially the rondown and the grilled lobster. they organize bonfire dinners a couple of times per week, but you can also choose a course from their restaurant menu. awesome hostel!

We stayed at Grace's the last week of February and had a wonderful time. Andrew and June were wonderful hosts! The food and hospitality were great. We were steps from the beach with great views. Grace's offers great activities including a bonfire with grilled lobster and kingfish, snorkeling, and a booze cruise.

Thank Amanda H
