Carlito's Place/Sunrise Paradise is set on the cool and breezy side of Little Corn Island, right on the beach. The turquoise Caribbean sea is steps away from your cabin. All cabins have a sea view, and windows on three sides let the breeze in to keep you cool at night. Each bed has a mosquito net. All rooms have their own private bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower. Relax in a hammock on your own deck, gazing out over the sea, or pick one in the shade under a tree. Watch the sunrise from your deck, take a morning dip right out of bed, or book a snorkelling trip that leaves twice a day right from our beach. Carlito's Place is very quiet at night, but sunset drinks and live music in one of the island restaurants in the village are only a 10-minute walk away.

We didn’t stay at Carlito’s but did eat there a couple times. We had the lobster, shrimp and the fish. The food was delicious and the cost so low! We had a couple beers and frescas with an appetizer and the total was less than $60 for all 4 of us. Señor Carlito and his wife run the restaurant and were super sweet. We were staying next door so went there a few times during our stay to buy beer and pop. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the island. Its a 15-20 min walk from the town and right in the beach.

This is the perfect place if you want to stay right on the beach (a stone's throw from the water), to stay on one of the cleanest and nicest beaches on the island, to have breeze mollify the heat, be within walking distance from the amenities of the village and other restaurants, have privacy and quiet, and adept more to island life and conditions than other places. This being said, if you need pristine cleanliness, 24 hour electricity, a staff that pampers your first world whims, and fancy furniture then this is not the place for you. I feel like Carlitos captures and preserves the spirit of the island...a close integration with the beach in a stress-free low maintenance envrironment. Many Americans and Europeans come to places such as little corn with their First World sentimentalities-- stress, need for everything to work/function always, constant access to the internet or a glowing screen of some sort, people to cater to their needs...if this is what appeals to you then there are alot of places on the island that you can stay at (Litte Corn B/B, Farm Peace Love). But if you want to feel the island for what it is and help to preserve the stress free, low maintenance rustic lifestyle of the island then stay at Carlitos. I stayed there for 9 days and found it to be absolutely perfect in every way. So the hotel ran out of drinking water...just walk next door and refill your bottle. So termites built a nest in my bed...get a new sheet. There are fancy places to cater to First Worlders all over the world. Carlitos is special because it caters to the island (I sound like John Locke from Lost)...I will be back, many times again!

I stayed one night at Carlito's before moving to Casa Iguana for the view. But if $50/night is not doable for you, then Carlito's at $20 is a good option. The cabanas are RIGHT next to the ocean, some with private bathroom, and are fine.

The restaurant is excellent and has great ambiance--though the lobster is cheaper (and equally tasty) at Miss Briget's next to the PADI shop.

The owner, Carlito, is a very friendly man who's always around to keep an eye on things. He was actually born on Little Corn back when there were only six families on the entire island. He sings when he speaks and is very pleasant to talk to.

For a budget traveler, I would not hesitate to recommend this place...

Dirty little shack, stay away! Rude owners, who suddenly speak English when there is a problem. The little twit worker called my husband and me liars when we informed them of the cock roach in the room. We left that day and only used the room for 2 hours to hold our bags. When we told the staff that we would not be staying there due to the roach they made us pay the full amount and made a big scene. Anywhere else on the island is better than this dirt hole!

I had high hopes for this place. I really did. It seemed great in the reviews, and Carlito could have been a great person.

I paid $25 for a solo cabin with a private bathroom. You can go next door to Grace's and get a single room for $8. I think Elsa's even has bungalows for $10. The bathroom wasn't worth $15.

To be fair, the location was good. My cabin was just a few hops from the water. The bed and mosquito net were good. The bathroom worked well. I never got wet in there. The place did not initially have a hammock. I had to ask for ropes to hang my own.

There was an ant problem, but I hear that is not uncommon on the island. When I spoke to Carlito's son about it, he promised to look into it but never did. I'm unhappy about that. He also promised to look into the latch on the inside of the door and never did.

Take the snorkel trip with Captain Peter and the guide named David. SHARKS!

The restaurant was not open when I was there, so I can't speak to the food.

I was met at the panga by a young man with my name on a sign. He carried my luggage for me and was very nice. This young man also groomed the grounds each morning.

My partner and I loved Carlito's place. It was a great location. Having the breeze kept us cool and the mosquitos away. Carlito and Maver were the most lovely couple and we will miss them. The breakfasts were delicious which included pan de coco, eggs and coffee. Often we were surprised with treats from them which were, fresh coconuts, mangoes and island baking. Maver helped organize a birthday cake for my partner which was awesome. They are both genuinely good hearted people which are hard to find. So I highly recommend staying there to meet them and have some great chats.

We stayed at Carlito's on LCI from Dec 22- to Jan 5. We stayed in the two bedroom caban with the small kitchen in it.
We were littlerly 30 feet from the front door to the ocean. The place was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Whatever small things we asked for Carlito provided. He was also a great resource for what to do and where to go on the island. The room had a fan, combined with the constant breeze from the ocean made sleeping more than comfortable. There are 3-4 places to eat within a 10 min walk from Carlito's and a 30 min walk to "town"
Overall a great place to chill, read a book hang out on the beach right in front of the caban- we'll be back

I don't even want to review Carlito's. Little Corn is a dream paradise that needs to stay that way. Luckily, the panga might keep a few of you away! Carlito's (And Carlito!) are a slice of absolute, pure heaven. Great beds, amazing food, a view that beyond anything you've ever seen. Go before everyone finds out about it.

First off this is literally the nicest location I've ever stayed in my life. The door of our cabin opened directly onto the Caribbean and we could wake up in the morning and walk 25 steps and be in the sea. It's also on the best part of the island for quiet while still being a 15 min walk to the village. So that's the good part. The bad part is the actual cabin or shack as my girlfriend called it. It's as simple as it can get. A curtain separates the bathroom area. The wood is all rotting, especially in the bathroom as the shower just runs into the wood. We had to ask for a curtain for the bathroom and that took a full day to get. The service was non existent other than the heroic wheelchair guy who brought our stuff from the dock and back to the dock when we left. He was awesome and we tipped him well. There is no room service, your sheets won't be changed over 4 nights.

Little Corn is great and we had an amazing time but if we went back we'd stay next door at Cool Spot or book earlier and get Little Corn Beach and Bungalow. Iguana also is in the area and it looked very nice. Carlito doesn't live there any more it seems and the place is run by his daughter? The cabins should all be torn down and rebuilt or at minimum the rotten wood removed and the things repainted.

I booked 5 nights here with a double room and kitchen for $80 a night thinking I might get one of their better cabins, NOT.
Rooms are very basic and expected but this place was trashed. The kitchen was a Colman like stove, rusty sink, two pots and a refer that dint work. front porch was 3 feet from the main trail for the beach traffic. My wife and her sister could not stay here so while I was out fishing they moved next door to Elsa's for 1/2 the price, but they forgot one of my bags with my Ipad. They held it hostage until I bucked up another $80, unbelievable. We contacted the police but they were no help. They bad mouthed and cussed at us, it was a very terrible experience, they just don't give a dam about anyone. We talked to a few other people that moved out and disgruntled as well. Avoid this place, there are plenty of other places for much less that will take good care of you right next door.
