The hotel is located on the north end of town just off the ring road. The hotel and gardens are a lovely, tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown Coban. Our rooms were immaculate and we greatly enjoyed sitting on the terrace outside our room just watching the birds. The owner Juan Antonio speaks perfect English and made...

We normally stay in Spanish colonial type hotels but Casa Gaia was a very pleasant change of pace. Nice rooms in separate buildings with lovely lawns and gardens. Very clean. Very quiet. Resturant had good menu and excellent service. Only negative is that it's a bit of a walk into town.

Cozy and spacious rooms, perfect service, delicious food, lovely surrounding. We where overwhelmed by the hospitality of managers and staff - they perfectly supported us with organzing excursions and even reorganizing another rented car after our first one broke down - as well as the tasteful furnishing and included nature reserve. At any time we felt perfectly welcomed and served....

Lovely lodgings, Beautiful landscaping, A wonderful experience. Breakfast, service, wifi all very good. No complaints. Close to city center but far enough away to provide tranquility. On a tour of Guatemala Coban is a good place to visit.

Casa Gaia is a beautiful hotel situated among grassy lawns, flowers and trees. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is excellent, the service is impeccable. The managers (owners?) are very kind and accommodating--they'll take care of your every need and grant you your every wish. The staff are utterly polite and welcoming. It's a peaceful oasis within easy...

After some 5 hours of bumping shuttle ride from Antigua we arrived at Casa Gaia not knowing what to expect. First we were welcomed by the big smile of Juan Carlos and then by the amazing green and huge garden. We stayed 3 nights in this paradise. During all our stay, Juan and Marta didn't save any effort to help...

I just spent 3 nights at this hotel with my three (young adult) children, and we loved it! It is a very quiet, beautiful, peaceful place, close enough to be convenient (if we needed to go to a store or restaurant in Coban, just a few minutes' walk away.) But also far enough that we woke up to the sounds...

Casa Gaia is a retreat from the busyness and noise in the city and on the roads. The owner and staff are so pleasant and accommodating. The grounds are spacious and well kept, and the rooms are simple and very clean. My only negatives are that the bed mattresses are extremely hard and the walls between rooms are quite thin...

We recently stayed at Casa Gaia. We had rather unique needs with our stay, as we had a reunion of sorts planned with our daughter's birth family from that area. The owner and his wife (owner speaks quite good English, I might add) went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We provided two separate meals for our reunions, and...
