Was thinking of going to Trat, are the beach Hotels well away from the markets, shops and restaurants?

There are no hotels in Trat close to the beach. Any beach close to the hotels are on the Islands of Koh Kood, Koh Mak and Koh Chang.
Most travelers in my experience are in transit to the islands or to Cambodia.
